Electro, Hip-Hop | Smokey Robotic – “Outside The Lines” & More | Hip-Hop

Posted by on February 10, 2011

When all is said and done this is what makes my endless battle with our inbox all worth it in the end; finding undiscovered talent with a singular vibe that makes me grin because its so dope. I’m addicted to putting new material in front of our fanbase so when I come across a group like the Smokey Robotic I really just kick back and basque in the download numbers as the skyrocket. These four guys encompass the essentials; part pop, part electro and part hip hop, making up a sound that they like to call “Superfuture”. I’m excited to hear what everyone thinks about them. They bring a different style to our site, but I think they’ll catch most of your ears. Visit their official website for more free Smokey Robotic music.

Hip-Hop, RnB, Videos | XV, Saigon, Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg | HIP HOP

Posted by on February 10, 2011

XV is on top of his game. His newest video, entitled, “F.I.F.A. (One Shot),” incorporates two separate visual takes. It makes for a more interesting video. In this day of age, artists need to make sure their videos are visually stimulating. Props to XV, and the director of the vid, Court Dunn, for making it work.

Saigon does nothing but impress. The following track, produced by Kanye West and Just Blaze, is real chill. I love this sort of stuff.

Snoop Dogg gets some help from Jim Jones and Shawty Low for the “G-Mix” of his track, “Wet.” Listen to it with speakers, it’s kind of trippy.

The following Breezy track may be included in his upcoming album, F.A.M.E (set to drop March 22). Chris worked with Swiss Beatz on this one. I haven’t formed an opinion as to whether I like it or not. Sound off in the cbox.

Jagged Edge gets sensitive on their track, “Through My Veins,” which may be included on the group’s upcoming album, The Remedy. For those of you who need some occasional “baby making music,” this should work.

Honestly not a fan of Roscoe Dash, but Stat Quo kills it on this track.

Electro, Hip-Hop | Benny Benassi ft T-Pain – Electroman | ELECTRO-HOP

Posted by on January 25, 2011

This is another huge ground breaking track. As I’ve previously written several times before, 2011 is going to be the year electro and hip-hop combine and completely change music as we know it. From electro influenced beats such as “Only Girl (In The World)” By Rihanna to Britney Spears new international banger “Hold it Against Me,” which even featured a dubstep sequence, to “Look At Me Now” by Chris Brown, which was produced by two of the biggest names in the electro world (Afrojack & Diplo)…electro is taking over. David Guetta penetrated the hip hop scene with three club bangers featuring some big names (Akon, Kid Cudi, & Kelly Rowland) that not only topped charts but also planted seeds in every managers head. Whether you hate it or not, it’s the future of music. Bottom line, there is no better music to party to than electro/house and that’s what it comes down to.

Electro, House | Dada Life & Laidback Luke, Steve Aoki ft Lil Jon Teasers | ELECTRO

Posted by on January 25, 2011

Not only are these two Swedes gods at what they do, they’re hilarious and put on one of the most energetic live sets I’ve ever seen…I was in the front row at TAO when they dropped this little preview, it reminds me a lot of Unleash The F*cking Dada, but regardless the song is still too sick…

Laidback Luke & Steve Aoki ft Lil Jon – Turbulence

Once again hip hop merging with electro, this track is going to be monumental….
