The Chicago duo Intermodal is back with a fresh and funky remix of a southern hip hop classic. If you are hip hop or an electronic music fan, odds are you can vibe to this track. It is deep, rigid, and simply grimy at the same time. Intermodal has put together an interesting start to their career through some of these remix choices, I am a fan. I can’t see what these deep house heads have in store for us next. Make sure to grab this booty tech remix of Mike Jones’ Still Tippin. Look who’s creepin, look whos crawlin big ballin in the mix.

FYI, Home | Watch Action Bronson Fight a Security Guard on Stage After Lighting a Joint
Posted by FilthyTaft on February 5, 2014
It’s pretty clear what went down here – Action Bronson wanted to smoke a J because he’s a traveling hip hop artist, while he clearly he wasn’t allowed to. The security guard decided it’d be cool to be a huge d*** about it in front of the entire crowd, but Bronson wasn’t going to take that humiliation, and he shoves the guard off of him pretty hard, charges him again, and shoves him way off of him. If the rapper on stage was someone the size of Childish Gambino, the security guard’s stunt probably would have worked, but when you go up against the gigantic bearded beast Action Bronson himself, this is what happens. Shoulda seen it coming, bud – big ups to Action Bronson for putting up a show for his fans and fighting for legalization. Lastly, thanks to the random fan who instagrammed this video.
Hip-Hop, Rap | Azad Right – Bad Energy
Posted by Grubeats on January 23, 2014
LA native, Azad Right, takes a moment to reflect on the hatred and misfortune that he and his community have experienced in the recent months. While the majority of hip-hop you probably hear is warm and often even diluted, Azad ensure’s the field that he’s here to offer introspective rhymes fed from the world around him. “Bad Energy” was initially slated to be the outro to his upcoming project, For The Hopeful, but unable to hold this one back, Azad chose to let his fans have an unexpected gift.
If you’re feeling this one, be sure to peep Azad’s live Shade 45 freestyle over Dead Presidents II.

The homie Christian Deshun hit me up last night and asked if I wanted to premiere his latest track “Right.” and my response was ABSOLUTELY. As an ambassador to the NWLA movement, Christian landed top honors for 2DopeBoyz’s mixtape of the year in 2013, and he has no plans of slowing down in 2014. With this latest record, you’re going to hear a side of Christian you’ve never heard before: his singing voice, and it’s pleasantly nice. I’ve been keeping tabs with Deshun for about 2 years now, and his sound is always maturing, and growing in dimension. If you’re a hip-hop head, and recognize great hip-hop when you hear it, you’re going to want to press play. Get familiar with Christian Deshun! This is a must listen!

Electric Bodega this week has collaborated with 2DopeBoyz.com for a campaign titled “Thank You 2DopeBoyz”, an ode of appreciation for all that 2DBZ has done for the music culture as a whole, in terms of breaking new artists. To do so, EB will be releasing a remix a day, and today they bring us a trap remix of Troy Ave and Tony Yayo’ “Show Me Love” off Troy’s album “New York City: The Album.” If you’ve been keeping up with hip-hop, Troy had one of the most critically acclaimed albums last year, and is the talk of a lot of hip-hop heads, so listen!

Mainstream Remix | Collin McLoughlin & Skrux – Castle Walls (Remix)
Posted by BIGLIFE on January 7, 2014
2011 saw a unique collaboration between hip hop icon T.I. And vocal powerhouse Christina Aguilera. While the song went slightly under the radar in the pop charts it sported an emotional chorus with a stirring vocal performance from Cristina Aguilera that lends itself quite well towards a melodic bass rework. Enter Collin Mcloughlin and Skrux, who’s synth heavy interpretation of Castle Walls provides a melancholy take on the hip hop focused original. A soaring trance like arp guides the listener through a wave of heavy bass and glitched vocals, making this interpretation of Castle Walls a perfect balance between subtle beauty and overdriven low end.
