With appearances at HARD Summer, the upcoming Holy Ship!, multiple records on Dirtybird, and a forthcoming EP on Pets Recordings, Justin Jay’s humble beginnings as a future talent are not too shabby to say the least. Going into his last semester at USC, the 22-year-old producer can now add a world premiere on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show to his wall of accomplishments. Annie Mac debuted his newest remix of Disciples’ “They Don’t Know” to expose Justin Jay’s production finesse to anyone unfortunate enough to not be following him. JJ allows the remix to take on a personality of its own as he strips Disciples’ original of it’s playfulness and replaces it with a brooding counterpart. Fans can move and groove to the LA producers’ expertly hatched drum work and sulking synth melodies. Check out the premiere above and be on the look out for the official release coming soon.

Son Of Kick just released a free download for his edit of Foreign Beggars and D.ablo’s “Anywhere” and it goes HARD. If you’re not familiar with Foreign Beggars, get familiar, they are huge in the Drum & Bass scene, and smash every track they hop on. Son Of Kick is an up and coming D&B producer from the UK that has been receiving a lot of attention lately, and will be going on tour in the US with 12th Planet. His tour schedule can be viewed here. Okay woah, I’m just gonna cut to the chase here and say this mix is BANGIN – Keys N Krates is proving themselves as a serious predator in the music game right now. This has got pretty much every track that you need to play at your parties if you ever want anyone to have any sort of fun right here, perfectly transitioning one into the next. Granted, my favorite parts are Keys N Krates original songs, especially I Just Can’t Deny (7:25). And you know, I can’t deny that this will probably be the only thing I listen to for the rest of the weekend.
As you can see, this is the 5th installment of HARD’s Future Stars Mini-Mix Series, which has so far featured Paper Diamond, Jerome LOL & Samo Sound Boy, Green Lantern and Justin Jay. You can check out those sets and many more here (can’t promise they’ll be as good as this one though…!)

Ricky Rozay the Teflon Don himself goes in HARD on DJ Khaled’s latest masterpiece Welcome To My Hood which features an All Star line up. I can’t wait to hear this on Friday at UMass.
