Videos | 3LAU – Campus Crashing
Posted by Juicebox on June 4, 2012
We’ve been helping & following this guy from literally day one and it’s truly amazing to see how far he has come in just one year. To celebrate the one year anniversary of 3LAU, he’s released a tour recap video to highlight some of his shows and help spread the word about the philanthropic campaign he’s associated with his name. Watch, learn, & donate…(here).
Dubstep | R Rated #27

After seeing Emalkay live during Nocturnal Wonderland here in Texas, I can honestly say this tune absolutely smashes crowds and stages. I need a release date for this tune ASAP, because I can only listen to these rips for so long. Emalkay took my MVP out of all the performers during Friday of the festival, and this tune was probably the determining factor. Really hoping we get some more tunes from this guy soon. I’m happy to say we FINALLY have a new track from Killsonik that was released out of no where yesterday. After only releasing one remix for Nero last year these guys were never heard from again until recently. Having their new single put up on UKF dubstep as well promoting the release of their EP, “Blood Lust” , on May 28th. I will give it to them though, this is a killer remix.
Mach has been eagerly awaiting the release of this next remix by Stepsonics. I had never heard of him before this, but what a way to be introduced. The track has a nice buildup which slowly levels off to where everything goes silent. Next thing you know you get slapped in the face by the drop. Take this as your warning.
We are slowly seeing more and more material emerging from the Never Say Die camp. After their two track remix EP released last week as well as Skism’s remix a few weeks before that; now everyone awaits the release of this drumstep remix of Hadouken’s Parasite. Who wouldn’t want a remix from Skism AND Zomboy. From what I have heard Zomboy has a EP in the making, so looking forward to hearing some of his new bits in the upcoming months.
How many artist do you know that can take Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up aka Rick Roll’d theme song and create a sick glich hop remix over the vocals? I can only think of one and that is the 17 year old producer, Teknian. I’m not going to lie I would like it to just be an instrumental, but either way the beat is dope.
Next up is an artist I have been following and keeping in contact with for a while now, but nobody knows of the talent this guy really has. I think the original to this track was top notch, until I heard this remix by Andrew D. This guy really has no boundaries, dropping tracks through all genres that just keep blowing me away. Whenever I asked him to let me know when he finished this track, he told me if he ever does….. You can imagine the face I made; something along these lines 0_0. Check out this tune and let him know your thoughts in the comments and encourage him to finish this amazing remix!

Albums, Hip-Hop | Hoodie Allen – All American (EP)
Posted by dshaq on April 9, 2012
How can one not root for Hoodie Allen? The man graduated from UPENN, worked for google, and yet he decided to drop his seemingly set lifestyle to pursue his dream of making music. This is the first we’ve heard of Hoodie since his awesome mixtape from last year, Leap Year, and it goes above and beyond anything I thought. What makes Hoodie so appealing as an artist is not only his catchy beats and choruses, it’s his wordplay. To me, he is up there with Danny Brown and Das Racist(KOOL A.D. & HEEMS) as one the wittiest rappers out right now. It seems as if the mans brain is just one big encyclopedia of pop culture references. His style is so carefree and fun and it just makes us crave more and more of this New Yorker. Since Hoodie is truly the nicest guy in the bidness today(my opinion), he is taking time out of his day to personally call each person who buys the EP to thank them for their contribution and support, if you don’t believe me check this out. So if you want to talk to Hoodie or just support good music and a guy who deserves some respect and acknowledgment, I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU BUY THIS. Hoodie congrats!
Moombahton | Vato Gonzalez & Diplo – Rasclat Riddim
Posted by Sev on March 15, 2012
Diplo and Vato Gonzalez teamed up for this Moombahton original given away for free to be rinsed during SXSW and UMF. You never know what to expect from Diplo, this guy is all over the place with his music. I was surprised when I first heard this track because I wasn’t expecting much and the title had me thinking it was going to be more of a reggae influenced track. Nevertheless a Moombah banger emerged from this collaboration and right in time for the festival season as well.

Electro-House | Iggy Azalea – My World (Bailey Smalls Remix)
Posted by Mach on March 8, 2012
Damn, My buddy Bailey Smalls does it again. This new freebie of his bumps, his use of ‘My World’ vocals over his sick beat is party and dance floor ready. Bailey is pushing to make a name for himself, and I think the sky limit of where he’s headed is just the beginning of where this guy will go. He has an upcoming EP titled ‘Baby, I love You,’ which drops March 20th. The EP has remixes from The Partysquad, Aylen, Udachi, and more! Get to know Bailey Smalls because this wont be the last you hear of him.

Electro-House, Progressive House | Kaskade ft. Skylar Grey – Room For Happiness (Remixes)
Posted by Middy on February 7, 2012
When you think of melodic, euphoric house coming from the States, Kaskade is the guy with the top notch stuff. Voted the number one Dj in the US and coming off of his incredibly successful artist album “Fire & Ice”, you just knew that remixes were going to come pouring in from all corners of the globe to take advantage of these house gems. “Room For Happiness” has vocals from the talented Skylar Grey, giving it even more an appeal, seeing the success of remixes of her single “Invisible” as well as Dirty South’s remix of “Coming Home”, this was destined to have some big remixes.
Feenixpawl, coming off of their absolutely massive collaboration “In My Mind” with Ivan Gough and Georgi Kay, is back to add to their growing studio output with this massive remix with a strong bassline with a heavy clap and melodic, hands in the air, synths that are perfect for this song. Pixel Cheese delivers on this remix with varying bassline that matches the vocal, with a bass driven interlude and driving synths. Gregori Klosman creates this heavy remix with a funky electro house breakdown and sensitive piano lead to accompany the vocals in the build. Do not sleep on the other remixes included in the package from Mysto & Pizzi, who create a heavy, grungy, electro remix of this song; Pixl who puts out a smooth progressive remix with a distorted undertone, as well as the extended mix of the song. Get the entire package on Beatport or iTunes.
Dubstep | Crizzly & Popeska
Posted by Sev on December 26, 2011
As expected we have some more freebies from artist feeling generous on this giving day. I will say, although I am not a huge fan of Crizzly’s crunkstep tracks, he smashed this remix. Dream’s original track was already a tune, but Crizzly buffed this track up a little more and added some bump to it. We have been posting most of Popeska’s stuff as he has released it, because this guy knows how to make tunes. This guy has a lot of potential to go somewhere with his music in the right hands, and I know Mach agrees with me. Being that it is Christmas lets also show some love to these guys and give them a like on their pages.
