The Axwell & Dirty South remix will always remain king, but in the overwhelming amount of remixes that befell this track over the past few years, it is nice to hear one that is a little different. Going with the tropical, summery brand of house that has been in vogue lately, Shèmce adds his own guitar, whistle and piano to the tune. The summer is almost out so grab this tune for that one last gasp in the season. It is free, so you have to get it.

Said the Sky dropped a new remix for us today! This take on “Faux” by Novo Amor & Ed Tullett is chill to say the least. The first half of the song hits a more ambient genre, gently flowing along with soft piano and guitar. The middle section is packed with emotion and frames the beautiful vocals with ease. The last drop is what makes this song pop. It drops into melodic dubstep, and growling bass mixing in with the emotional piano. Grab it for free!

The debut EP from Brooklyn-based Painted Zeros is, for lack of a better word, awesome. The five tracks comprising SVALBARD are an assertive and creatively varied journey through the psyche of singer/songwriter/guitar player/producer/jack of all trades Katie Lau. No fillers here, unless you count 30 seconds of tight experimental wandering halfway through — the EP ranges from deceptively fragile and New Order-tinged (“This American Life”) to ecstatic and garage rock-y (“Jaime”) to moody-yet-hopeful-yet-delicate-yet-steely (“Too Drunk”). Australian producer Elk Road hit me with his latest remix of Charli XCX’s “Boom Clap,” and being a sucker for the original, see me singing the hook as loud as possible when it drops, I had to give it a listen. Off the bat, I was carried by the rolling bass and guitar, and once you’re in it, it sounds like a trippy adventurous mysterious epic dream, to which you’re the hero. Get lost to these vibes, and see how many times you find yourself playing this tune on repeat. This is a must listen and a must download!

Norway at the moment seems to be a mine for young talent, and 18 year old Bearson is another one I can add to my radar of up and coming chill house,/deep house/melodic deep house producers who put out quality remixes! This remix of Astronomyy’s “Nothin On My Mind” is perfect fot this New Jersey rainy day, as I sit at my desk, staring outside my window with an aching knee, as it’s uplifting, warm, and mellow! Electronic | No Limits – Another World

As I’ve touched upon before, usually once a day but sometimes twice, No Limits, an electronic duo from Akron, Ohio have an immense amount of talent. What is perhaps the most impressive about these guys is their versatility. They don’t stick to just one genre and each one they go to they excel in. Their latest original, “Another World”, is a mid-tempo electronic track. The vocals are surprisingly capable and are carried along by excellent drum work. There’s even some guitar throughout. No Limits are a couple of guys you should keep an eye on because, like the current economic and cultural issues facing Algeria, Africa’s largest country, there’s nothing but good on the horizon.
