Pop | John Newman – Love Me Again
Posted by Mach on May 11, 2013
England is getting all the hits it feels like. This track from John Newman is gold, rarely what you get to hear in the US at this caliber anymore. I’m just not that into Bruno Mars and all the other mediocre pop artists, sure they can sing but where is their music like this? Wouldn’t surprise me if this gem made its way over to the US, it’s too good to go unnoticed. “Love Me Again” releases June 30th on iTunes Great Britain.
Chill | BONDAX – GOLD
Posted by mimada on April 17, 2013

As the weather (hopefully) starts to warm up, it’s time to start building your go-to summertime poolside playlist, and this track from the British duo Bondax is the perfect place to start. This song starts off nice and easy like a Sunday morning then gradually picks up into this delicious beat that gets your body moving and some how leaves you craving for another listen every time. Luckily, their Soundcloud is rich with more of this electro-beat swag so when you hear the closing steel drums at the end of Gold and your daydream of sipping piña coladas, beach side with your toes in the sand, comes to abrupt end, you’ll know where to go.
Progressive House | Project 46 – No One (feat. Matthew Steeper)

I don’t need to describe the track to you, it’s by Project 46. That automatically makes it progressive gold.
Trance | Suncatcher – Simplicity
Posted by Spice on February 11, 2013
Who’s afraid of 138? Trance may have taken a turn for the house-ish in recent years, but take a gander at Suncatcher’s insane soundscapes in “Simplicity” and tell me you’re not a convert to the genre’s faster and more musically complex roots. This track is warm and stirring without feeling cliched; thanks to lush synths and a driving theme, it’s pure uplifting gold. With releases like this, it’s easy to see why Suncatcher has already seen heavy support from titans like Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Above & Beyond and Roger Shah — it’s clear that the young Romanian producer is one to keep an eye on in 2013.

Progressive House | Starkillers, Dmitry KO & Amba Shepherd – Let The Love

Amba Shepherd has to be the hottest female vocalist in dance music right now. Every song her vocals touch is gold and “Let The Love” is no different. You combine her heavenly vocals with this sublime melody from Starkillers and Dmitry KO, who are known for making big room hits and you have magic. Let the blissful melodies of this track wash over you and start the countdown to the Miami & WMC.

Hip-Hop, Review | Grubeats’ Top 12 of ’12
Posted by Grubeats on January 14, 2013
Grubeats; fashionably tardy as always. I can’t promise I’ve saved the best for last, but hopefully this eclectic mix of tracks tickle’s at least party of your fancy. I’d enjoy hearing from you in the comments section if you have opinions on any of these songs!
12.) Skizzy Mars – Sirens
This young star didn’t sound my radar until late spring of ’12. I had heard the name and few scattered verses, but overlooked the true talent Skizzy Mars was bringing to the table until I first heard “Sirens”. With sounds similar to a young Cudi, Skizzy himself only recently graduated high school and has only begun to lie the brick and mortar for long, prosperous career.
11.) Skrillex & Damian Marley – Make It Bun Dem
As you probably know, I’m not a die heard EDM head like many writers and followers of this site. No kandi for this kid. I do however, enjoy just about anything Skrillex lays his hands on. Couple the addictive production with Damian Marley’s rasta raps and you have pure gold. If and when hip-hop and EDM cross paths, this is the type of execution I expect. [Watch video HERE]

While Clinton has been hard at work on his forthcoming “Disco Ball & Chain” album, 2-Chainz stopped by his “Awesome Radio Show” to talk B.O.A.T.S going certified gold, whether his chains have ever gotten caught on another rapper’s chains, and the difference between white and black humor. Get Familiar!
