Albums | SkullyBoom Contest!

Right about now your probably wondering what the hell a skully boom is, what the hell that little alien looking device is clipped on to that guys belt, and why the hell there isn’t a song included in this post. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce one of the greatest devices in the world of speakers ever created. This little guy is a portable speaker that is compatible with any musical device and is perfect for the mobile generation we’ve become. The back features a little clip so you can easily clip it on your belt and bump music while you walk, bike, drive, or skip (Biglifes favorite mode of transportation). Don’t under estimate the sb1’s size, this little guy BUMPS. It does at least twice what your mac computer speakers do and provides a bass loud enough to knock your girlfriends clothes off (no where near that loud), but the bass will leave you impressed.
CONTEST: “Like” Skullybooms facebook page. Click HERE. Then, the great minds at fresh new tracks and skully boom have created a madlib for you to do. Post the madlib on their facebook page, and the madlib that gets “liked” the most on their fbook page will be winning a free skully boom! CONTEST ENDS TOMORROW!
Madlib: “I (would) listen to artist/genre on my adjective/description skullyboom when I’m riding a noun/animal at (a/an/the) location.”
Example: – I (would) listen to Daft Punk on my little skullyboom when I’m riding an ostrich at the Olympics.
Dubstep, Hip-Hop | Split Second – Innocence
Posted by BIGLIFE on October 7, 2010
Now that we’ve seen an example of how not to release a dubstep track i.e. kill a song by awkwardly talking over it and then claiming to be the king of the sub-genre invented by Bostonsboy, I’d like to offer everyone with an impressive project done by the Taft trio, Split Second (one of the members now attends Trinity College). If your ears get wet to this one, wait till you hear the track I’ve been begging these guys to drop for weeks. Fortunately we will be premiering it tomorrow so stay tuned.

Hip-Hop | Cee-Lo ft. 50 Cent- F*** You (Remix)
Posted by Juicebox on August 22, 2010

If you haven’t noticed, 50 Cent has been uncharacteristically quiet recently. It’s been almost over a year now since he’s dropped any new music. We’ve only received random leaks here and there and to be honest, they haven’t been worth posting. In my opinion, it seems that 50 Cent has reached his musical prime. His music is no longer relevant because his “aggressive content” isn’t what appeals to the masses now. Which brings me to a point I’d like to make. There is a new genre emerging in the world of hip-hop. Those that regularly check this blog know and recognize this. Traditionalists seem to hate it, but college students around every campus in America seem to love it. This genre incorporates electronic and dubstep beats with hip-hop lyrics. Artists like Sam Adams, Mac Miller, and Na Palm are at the forefront of this movement, while up and coming artists like Paul Markham, Collin McLoughlin, and Flyrydaz are tapping into the genre and understand the growing potential it has. As a blogger, it’s my hope that Fresh New Tracks can be a small part of this emerging movement that will eventually take over radio. I truly believe it’s the wave of the future. In an interview a few months ago, 50 Cent said that he was inspired while in Europe by “electronic” music and looked to make a “dance album”. As expected, he eventually scrapped the project. I’m not trying to slam 50’s success, but even he knows that in order to stay relevant, he must evolve and tap into this growing genre. For those of you making the same “aggressive” content; the end is near. Love it or hate it, the Sam Adams’ of the world are taking over. A wise man once said, if you’re not constantly growing then you’re dying.
Dubstep | Dubstep-ish

These five heater tracks should quench your dubstep thirsts for a minute.
On the dubstep scale this would be considered mild so even if you haven’t enjoyed the previously posted songs from this new age genre, give this one a fair chance. If you’re a techno fan and dig Alejandro don’t pass this up.
Must Download: Lady Gaga – Alejandro (Rusko’s Papuseria Remix) DOPE
Probably one of my favorite reinterpretations of the highly remixed track, Hello Good Morning. Again, this isn’t a hardcore dubstep track so most our fans will probably appreciate it.
Must Download: Diddy – Hello Good Morning (Chuckie’s Bad Boy Went Dirty Dutch Remix) FIRE
I really respect the experimental risks FixD took to transform this track into something of his own. Aside from Sam’s hip hop dubstep version of Some Chords, this has to be my favorite remix. Note: no vocals.
Download: Deadmau5 – Some Chords (And Some More Notes FixD Remix)
It’s a Rusko mashup with Eminem, what else is there to say? Diehard dubstep lovers already know this is an untouchable combo.
Download: Lamb Versus Bear – Kid Sister vs Eminem – Just Pro Nails (Rusko Remix)
And a dubstep remix to a Guetta classic for good measure…
Download: David Guetta – Love Don’t Let Me Go (Betatraxx Remix)
Uncategorized | Electro Heat!

I know we normally post Techno Heat but I thought I would do a post for the electro/trance fans. This genre usually focuses more one smooth beats which suggest an “altered” state of mind. These tracks are longer and have less lyrics than most posted on FNT, but they are worth a listen. Treat yourself and expand your musical horizons.
Paul Ryan – Black Shadow (Avicii & Tiesto remix)
Offer Nissim Feat. Nikka – The One And Only (Original Mix)
Nic Chagall – 100 (Edit)
Nadia Ali – Crash and Burn (Dilamani & Rassek Remix)
Mike McPower feat. Patryk Smolarek – Round & Round (Extended Mix)

As I said a few days ago, I’m on a mission to expand everyone’s musical palettes through the dubstep genre. This is a relatively calm Glitch Mob track, but as the weeks progress we’ll start exploring some of the more intense (yet still bearable) dubstep sounds.
Download: The Glitch Mob – Drive It Like You Stole It (King Fantastic Remix)
Just when I thought every hip-hop, rap, or techno genre and sub genre had been exhausted for making remixes to Bedrock, I came across two more versions of this beat that surprisingly brought a unique sound to my speakers. (Note: use the search feature in the top right corner to find the other remixes)
Download: Young Money – Bed Rock (Emynd Pillow Bass Remix)
Download: Young Money – Bedrock (Dj Dark Intensity Remix)
Previously: The Hood Internet – DepRock (Young Money vs Javelin)
Previously: Young Money ft. Lloyd – Bedrock (Cure & Cause Remix)
Here are a few tracks from one of my all time favorite artists Yves Larock, who is best known for the song Rise Up. If you think a Caribbean electro vibe fused with some vocals would pique your ears interest, these songs are for you.
Download: Yves Larock – Million Miles (Radio Edit)
Download: Yves Larock – Glory feat. Fred Barrys
And some bonus tracks including a sick FNT EDIT:
Dave Darell – I Just Wanna Live (Deniz Koyu Remix)[FNT EDIT] FIRE
Darren Baile pres. Mark Lime & K Bastian & Damae – Ocean Of Love (Djs From Mars FM Remix)
Annie Lennox – Sing (Moto Blanco Radio Edit)
