House, RnB | 1963 – Only Us
Posted by Mach on June 16, 2013
This isn’t your usual blend, and I have come across some interesting genre twists in my travels as a music blogger. House and R&B, just saying them together makes my mind spin in squares trying to figure that out. This dark yet beautiful original from 1963 is a Father’s Day dedication to his own father who passed away in 2008. Just knowing that introduces an entirely different emotion to the song, something that you feel and respect throughout it’s progression.

Dubstep | Destroid – Raise Your Fist (PatrickReza Remix)
Posted by Mach on June 4, 2013
Destroid’s new EP didn’t wow me, but this is the heaviest track I have heard from PatrickReza. Sev and I have been talking a lot about Neuro-hop and how it is sneaking its way onto the bass scene. I never imagined PatrickReza doing a track like this, but it gives me hope for the rising genre. Definitely a killer remix, hope it places in the remix competition.
Drum & Bass, Hip-Hop, Preview | Rusty K – Freakuency

Speaking of Neuro-hop, Drum & Bass producer owned face with this insane Neuro-hop clip. The intro is very different from what we have been hearing from other tracks in this sub-genre, best part is, so is the drop. My mind was blown instantly at the drop, it is one of the dirtiest things I have ever heard. You can sure I will be waiting day by day for this original to release.
Progressive House | Admonic & Davies – Ascension
Posted by Mel on May 10, 2013
Growing up as a male in an upper middle class white family was rough. Nobody ever gave me a chance. Luckily though, my parents bought me a Macbook and I became a blogger. That all accumulated today when I came across this track. It is very rare that I find something with such exceptional production quality from such seemingly unknown producers. “Ascension” is what I believe progressive house should be. I’m not saying I no longer enjoy it, but it’s obvious that the genre has turned drastically commercial. This track, however, is a true diamond in the rough. Resembling a tad to Porter Robinson’s “Language”, it boasts bright melodies and pulsating synths that are sure to leave you aroused. The best part is, it’s free.
Bass, Dubstep, Glitch | Joe Ford – Bring The Bass

Joe Ford is back at it again after his release last week of ‘Frozen Sound’. He is slowly showing more and more why so many big names like KOAN Sound and Reso support him. This new Neurohop tune has amazing sound design to go along with the creativity of the track. There are so many weird bass noises and details lurking in the background of this tune that with every listen I enjoy the track even more. A big thanks to Neurohop for releasing this amazing freebie. If you are a fan of this growing genre be sure to like their page (linked below).

Dubstep | Reso – When It Drop

After we got this little preview last week, it turns out Reso wasn’t playing an April fools prank after all. Reso has been destroying the scene lately with some of the most creative pieces to release. This new emergence of Neuro-hop is very exciting because the genre has no bounds and Reso is definitely paving the way for people wanting to get involved. I would say without hesitation that he is the current king of Neuro-hop. His tracks always have the perfect blend of hip-hop and neuro/glitch that it’s hard not to listen to the tracks on repeat all day. So much inspiration and creativity is coming from this artist that I would recommend you all follow him and be on the lookout for his releases.
