Hip-Hop, Rap, Videos | Game – The City ft. Kendrick Lamar [Video]

It doesn’t get much better than a Kendrick Lamar feature these days.  Yeah, Game can still make a solid track, but K. Dot slaughters this this hook and the acapella at the end is unparalleled.  Personally, this is my favorite record off Game’s album, R.E.D., which shaped up to be a respectable project despite the years of continued delay it kept receiving.  There is a quote at the end of the video by Game, describing in a nutshell what the video represents and how he has overcome hardships like no other to make it to where he is today.

“Los Angeles, CA – Though sometimes colorful, there are two colors that stand out the most…Those colors being red and blue.  When mixed together, these two colors cast a dark shadow over everything under the sun.  Most are still fighting to see the light.” – Game

Breezy and Game have teaming up a lot as of late, and every song that they’ve put out hasn’t been disappointing. Rumor has it that this will be on Game’s RED album. Oh, and in other hip hop news Weezy is hinting towards possibly retiring after Carter IV. According to him he wants to retire while he’s still hot…personally I think it’s a little late for that…

Since Bradley of Sublime died I’ve never heard much from them that I liked, but the surviving members of the group teamed up with Wiz to bring a reggae track that is perfect for loungin’ around on those hot summer days.

Here’s another Boston track from Moufy. Keep a head’s up for Boston Lights, dropping in August.

Game does his thing on this track and Mars kills this hook. Personally I think its a lot better than the second Game track I posted below, but maybe thats just cause DJ Khaled is screaming nonsense for the first 30 seconds of it.

50 changed up his flow big time for this track. It may take some getting used to, but the hook is bad ass.

Something about being dead just can’t seem to stop him from having amazing tracks dropped. “It’s only a flesh wound” I didn’t even have to wait for the Game’s part of the track. The second you hear Tupac’s opening you are hooked. No, I don’t believe he is still alive. Yes, you should download this track.

Wayne’s opening verse didn’t do much for me, but the goddess known as Jenifer Lopez makes up for it.

The eerie background violin is the perfect touch to this track.

If you have yet to get into the XXL freshman, Meek Mil, it’s about time you give him a listen.
