Jack Ritchie’s (AKA Bearcubs) “All This Before” remix is one of the most distinctive songs that I have heard in awhile. As some may believe, electronic music can sound repetitive at times. However, songs like this stand out to us listeners and rekindle the lust. Overall, impressive production talent coming from Jack Ritchie. Let’s hope that we uncover more of his talent in the near future. In the meantime, enjoy this.

Future House | Dave Winnel Takes Adam Lambert’s “Ghost Town” Up A Notch

Posted by on May 18, 2015

Building on the success of his “OKAY” remix that I played at AVENU here in Dallas, Sydney’s Dave Winnel is back with an official “Ghost Town” remix on Warner Music. Originally produced by Max Martin, who’s the king of pop music, “Ghost Town” is heavily influenced by the future house sounds that’s dominating the dance space. This is no shock, at contemporaries like Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco have regularly borrowed from the underground but I digress.

Dave Winnel really did this one justice. No release date yet. Keep your eye on this guy. Big remix.

Future House | Pete Tong Previews Martin Solveig’s Brand New “+1”

Posted by on May 7, 2015

Ah, the plus one. A ubiquitous request made many a times by those in the “the scene”. Martin Solveig is likely no stranger to this request, as he’s toured the world and back with his infectious production and knack for knowing what’s next in dance music. Case and point: “+1” a future house tune previewed by BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong that has groove written all over it. Building on the success of his massive “Intoxicated” with GTA, I suspect “+1” out on Spinnin’ Deep will see equally strong results on June 1st.

Future House | Sydney’s Tom Budin Crushes Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again”

Posted by on May 5, 2015

I’m not a fan of the pop-rap crossover “Top 40” nonsense that gets played on the radio. I’m not even a Fast and Furious fan. This “See You Again” record is something else though. It’s so well done and it’s the hit that Wiz Khalifa (and his label) seriously needed. Hits are hard to come by. Sydney’s Tom Budin (pronounced Boo-Din for all you yanks) brings the record to another level, transporting it into a groovy future house banger that I can see myself blacking out to and throwing up in an Uber XL later in the night while driving through Raising Cane’s and ordering five caniac combos. It’s just that good. What’s even better? It’s a free download which should be a crime. I’d buy this remix a million times.

Future Trap | San Holo Debuts on Monstercat with ‘Victory’ EP

Loyal followers of this household name to the future dubstep genre are excited, and they should be, because San Holo has taken a major step in his career by releasing on Monstercat what he is sampling with the title track, ‘Victory’, as an intelligent combination of high strung chords and heavy bass lines. It starts off with a strong grungy intro, transitioning into a trap-inspired bassline, and finally blending with a melodic synth, which is surprising because it maintains a mellow atmosphere throughout the entire track. Do yourself a favour and press play on this bad boy – you will not be disappointed.
