Events | CONTEST: Kinetics & One Love/Hi-Rez/Dylan Owen/Beau Young Prince in NYC! [Presented by FNT]

Posted by on December 4, 2012

This Sunday, FNT is proud to sponsor an undeniably exciting concert — one featuring a bevy of the most compelling unsigned talent in the country. The Studio at Webster Hall is hosting this must-see event, where for one night you can get lost in Kinetics’ lyrical acrobatics, Hi-Rez’s passion, Dylan Owen’s honesty and lyrical force, and Beau Young Prince’s smooth, groovy sound.

Because we care about good music as much as you do, we’re willing to give away a few free tickets to onelucky fan. All you have to do is tag Fresh New Tracks in a Facebook post stating something like this: “Post this status for a chance to win two free tickets to see Kinetics & One Love, Hi-Rez, Dylan Owen & Beau Young Prince at Webster Hall!”

We’ll announce the winner by Friday, so the rest of you who are slightly less lucky will still have a chance to get your tickets here. Either way, we’ll see you there. I’ll be the one in the Fresh New Tracks tank.

Abstract Hip-Hop, Chill, Hip-Hop, Indie | BYP x Franky Murdock – About You (Remix)

Posted by on November 13, 2012

BYP is back on his musical grind with this remix of the young stunna XXYYXX’s piece. Beau Young Prince hops on this trippy beat with his Dope Collective partner, Franky Murdock, who makes his first appearance on Fresh New Tracks with this post. The SoundCloud genre label of this track is probably more perfect than anything I could attempt to describe it as: Slow Wind Trippy. Beau’s verse is the highlight and the beat reminds me of something from MellowHype, and something else I can’t place. Big things are on the horizon for Beau Young Prince, everyone be on the lookout.

Hip-Hop | Trey Palms – City Lights

Posted by on August 2, 2012

An artist I haven’t kept up with recently, Trey Palms, drops off a 5 minute track for our listening pleasure. His manager informed me that Fresh New Tracks was the reason Trey gained hype in the first place, so I found it fitting that we would be posting this track to help his trek to stardom. Trey showcases a few dope verses over an interesting upbeat instrumental with a sample from Aeroplanes. My favorite part is the chorus, and after Trey switches up his flow to show off some versatility. Grab the track below for free courtesy of Trey’s camp.

Hip-Hop, Videos | K.i.D – Hate [Video + Track]

Posted by on July 13, 2012

Newcomer to FNT, Kyle Harvey, AKA K.i.D. drops off his latest video creation for his fans. Taking a deeper approach to this song, Kyle spits his verses emotionally and soulfully over a Clams Casino produced beat. K.i.D has a sound that you can tell would fit right in along with mainstream rap. At some points he even takes a move from Drake’s playbook and starts singing, and damn does it sound good. I’ve had my eye on K.i.D for awhile now, and I think it’s about time Fresh New Tracks jumped on his bandwagon. Peep the video above and grab the download below.

Hip-Hop | Kam Royal – Rolling Stone

Posted by on June 22, 2012

I’ve never posted Kam Royal’s music. I’ve never disliked it, but I’ve never enjoyed it enough to share it with all of you. This song is different. Rolling Stone has a old school feeling beat that Kam flows over with the confidence of the most veteran rapper. If Kam continues making music like this, he’ll find himself on Fresh New Tracks much more frequently. I’ve enjoyed watching him progress as an artist, and at the rate he’s going, he won’t be stopping anytime soon.
