Here at FNT we have been following the story of Leon the Professional for a minute now. The thing that has always impressed me about Leon is that he has he innate ability to carry a track with his lyricism rather than catchy hooks. His most recent project, “Breakfast” is perfect example of his unique talent. In his own words:
I feel like this is the embodiment of who I really am. Musically, culturally… I feel like this mixtape really had all the pieces, creativity, and energy that a good music project should. I wrote a lot of good songs and they all had the direction and feel of my bboy culture, and so I figured I mind as well put them into a phat tape!

Pretty soft song for FNT to be posting, but it’s a feel good song that definitely grows on you. Girls, this is a must download. Guys, hopefully without losing all my man cards, I’ll admit I’m a big fan of the song.

A frat a Trinity College approached us about booking their spring concert . The venue was sold out at 1600 people with a line/mob scene at the door. Sound check, contracts, and riders were handled by FNT for this event.

In addition to the two songs posted by Joel on his Soundcloud yesterday–mau5 fans have yet another new track to download. This one most definitely has a different feel from the others. Although he adds his usual, electro touch to the Foo Fighters’ single, “Rope,” the song’s original “rock sound” is retained. I’m not too sure how I feel about said retention, yet I figured some of you FNT’ers may enjoy such variation.

SweetE’s been pretty busy lately. It’s that New York City lifestyle that creeps up on you sometimes. Since I feel as if I’ve been neglecting FNT, I’ve finally set aside some down time to write up a longer post.
I recently came across this track, and after being played on repeat for the past few days, I felt the need to post it. It is pure fire. If its seductive lyrics and hot vocals don’t “perk” your ears up, there’s clearly something wrong with you. “Cause I like that sound of that beep, beep, boom…..”

First off, I don’t know how the hell Avicii got a hold of a FNT tee, I feel like I would have seen the name “Tim Berg” when shipping out the apparel…regardless, I’m into it (kidding). I’m a huge Avicii fan but didn’t find this track as appealing as the rest…it’s got a little more of a funk/disco touch to it but the buildups and drops aren’t what he usually hits us with. Thoughts?
