Just last week FNT had an exclusive opportunity to link up with Philly’s own, Tayyib Ali, for an interview prior to his headlining show in Boston. We discussed his upcoming project, recent and upcoming collabs, the plethora of artists coming up from PA, what he does outside of music & more. Big ups to Boston’s finest clothing and kicks boutique, Laced, for giving us an opportunity to catch Tayyib during his in store meet and greet earlier in the day.
In other news, Tayyib’s debut video off his last mixtape, Keystone State of Mind, surpassed 500,000 hits on YouTube today so be sure to check that if you haven’t already.

Moombahton | D!RTY AUD!O x gLAdiator – Buss Up

Two rising artist in Moombahton, D!RTY AUD!O and gLAdiator, have collaborated to create this dope Moombahton original track. Using some vocal slicing to help with building the intro that sets this track up nicely for its laser Moombah synth drop. My speakers are taking a beating from this track. Both of these artist styles can be heard throughout the track and I can’t wait for some more tracks from either of these two, maybe even another collaboration? All Moombahton fans need to definitely show their support for these two and like their pages provided below to stay up to date with their upcoming releases.

For any long time followers of FNT, you’ll recognize the name G-Riot. The Northeastern grad was once buzzing on the college scene but put music on the back burner as academics took precedence. Now that G has graduated, began working independently, and refocused his attention on music he will begin his course back to relevancy. Shooting visuals for his first hit, “Moony”, my personal favorite from G, should be a fair reminder to fans the skill he possesses. With his pre-album mixtape in the rearview, Sammy is working diligently on his debut LP that is set to hit stores in 2012. Into The Wild garnered great success despite Sammy’s brief hiatus, reassuring his fans he is back working harder than ever to deliver a chart topping album. Sam’s camp put together a brief video highlighting five tracks off Boston’s America’s Boy’s mixtape with fresh new visuals to compliment them. In addition to plenty of new music, Sam is likely preparing for his spring tour which has not been officially announced yet, outside of his upcoming show at The Gramercy Theatre in NYC on March 16th. House | Bailey Smalls – Music Is The Answer 2012

Bailey Smalls is no stranger to FNT, and in the months to come I don’t think he will be a stranger to anyone else as well. Besides his move into a sweet new studio in New York City, Bailey plans on making some big moves today with some great singles lined up for release. He likes to incorporate some funky dancing vibes into his tracks, adding a little unique flavor. This new free release of his shows us just that. I am really loving the hint of Moby the feel of this track gives off. Expect big things from Bailey Smalls this year.

The tranquilizing tunes of Aer are always a refreshing change from what we’re typically used to hearing from todays up and comers. Maintaining the mellow sound they’ve had since the beginning, David and Carter are just two laid back dudes having a hell of a lot of fun making music fans can relate to.
