Pretty upset how long this one has been sitting in my inbox, I have been slacking lately. Making his FNT debut with Cocaine Cinderella is Jute$. The Toronto based Jute$ has an extremely unique sound that really connected with me. Despite being mostly a hip hop/ pop/ alternative listener in 2016, back in the day I grew up on a lot of alternative rock/emo/scream music. Jute$ brought back all the feels with Cocaine Cinderella as it reminded me of an eclectic blend of Blackbear, Mod Sun and some of my favorite alternative bands from way way wayyyyy back.
Chill | WVRD. Drops Chill-Funk Remix Of “Pumped Up Kicks”
Posted by VMan on January 6, 2016
Nothing like an old favorite transformed into something grand. “Pumped Up Kicks” is practically ancient and today’s daily music consumption world. Yet, wvrd. puts some soul and rhythm into the tune. Turning it into a almost-tech house tune with a melodic spin.
It’s clear that wvrd. is on the come up – if he continues to make tunes like these, his rise could be quicker than most would expect.
Electro | EC Twins Drop First Brooklyn Fire Release “Raggatron”
Posted by VMan on December 14, 2015
My last two favorite tracks from EC Twins was “Won’t Let You Down” and “Number One” both of those showed a mature side of EC Twins’ music that jumps out of you.
“Raggatron” goes much harder than these, but still showcases that mature, evolved sound EC Twins has be delivering. I’m pumped to see what these guys push out in 2015. The duo also have residencies out in Las Vegas, catch one of their shows if you go out there.
Bass | Rob Gasser’s “Copycat” EP Is A Melodic Bass Gem
Posted by VMan on December 7, 2015
Rob Gasser’s Copycat EP, released via Fox Stevensons’ own Cloudhead Records, showcases melodic bass music through three different tempos, 174, 140, and 110. Not sure if it’s the various types of songs, or just Rob Gasser’s damn good producing, but Copycat EP is all it’s own. Featuring no vocal tracks, something that Rob has touched on previously with bass-pop releases like “Meltdown (ft. Richard Caddock,)” the 3-track EP delivers the same level of contentment you’d get from any favorite album, a true gem and a nice pack of tunes to hold fans over a while.
Alternative, Chill, Cover, Hip-Hop, Indie, Reggae | ACADEMY Flips The Temptations ‘My Girl’ To An Addicting Feel Good Hip Hop Jam

Your favorite alternative/hip hop/reggae duo ACADEMY is back again, this time with a super fresh cover from the depths of the vault. This little ditty is a spin on the Temptations timeless song ‘My Girl‘ and is equally as addicting as their previous reggae cover of Biggie’s Juicy. My Girl, which was concocted by John That features good friend of ACADEMY and unknown to most, emcee Terrye who laid down some well written bars that fit the vibe of this song perfectly.

I would have posted this on Sunday when it was released but I was too busy playing this on repeat over and over again. While Jeremy Zucker is new to FNT Quinn XCII is no stranger. Quinn’s EP Change of Scenery has been a personal favorite and the way in which he blended pop, tropical house and hip hop together was absolutely perfect. In the latest offering from Zucker, he self produces and pens an extremely catchy tune that you’ll have on repeat for days to come.
