Dubstep | Hirshee, Sue Cho – Hold On To Love (KillaGraham Remix)

Posted by on July 30, 2012

It has been a while since we have seen a release from the up coming artist, KillaGraham. Mach and I have been a fan of him for a while now and it has been a long wait, but we are slowly seeing more and more outstanding material emerge from him. KillaGraham lays down some nice chords to accompany the appealing vocals in the intro of this track that also has a monstrous stadium, big-room sounding build up that leads you right into the grimy and aggressive drop. Big things to come from this unparalleled artist. You can buy this track off of Beatport HERE.

Dubstep | Asa — Withdrawal EP

Posted by on July 19, 2012

If you’re a fan of beautiful melodies, mixed with serene sounds, mixed with amazing instruments combined with a touch of bass, then look no further. Asa is known for having some of the most unparalleled melodic and serene dubstep. This outstanding FREE EP features one original from him, two remixes, and one collaboration with Teknian and Kasket in which every track is amazing in a different light. This is one artist that always excites me whenever I see previews of his tracks on Soundcloud. I don’t want to spoil the beauty of each track by trying to explain with words how each one is constructed, but instead to let your ears decide what is occurring by listening to each track. Download the EP on Bandcamp HERE . [Alternate download will be uploaded within the upcoming weeks as requested by artist.]

Chill, Hip-Hop, Videos | Alex Jordahl – All Things Go

Posted by on July 17, 2012

I’ve never been a fan of Alex Jordahl. Something about his music just never spoke to me. His manager always sent his releases to me, and I always listened, and my response was always the same: “Maybe next time.” Well, this time, it finally clicked. Everything about this song, the lyricism, the beat, the video, make it a complete success to me. The visuals, done by 15 year old video editing prodigy, Justin Escalona, match up perfectly with the overall vibe of this track. I hope this song can speak to you like it spoke to me, enjoy.

Mashups | Chi Duly- Call Me Calvin (Chi Duly Edit)

Posted by on June 7, 2012

Pro-Tip: This is exactly how you should send a submission e-mail. Chi-Duly is so huge, at this point whenever he e-mails me I have to remain calm and not fan him too hard. Building on the success of his previous “Balloons of Haus” project personally co-signed by the Weeknd, Chi Duly drops another mashup that will have me shamelessly fist-pumping like guido trash on a Saturday night.

Hip-Hop, Mashups | Can’t Hold The Wild (Mackelmore vs. Steppenwolf) – DJ 21azy

Posted by on June 2, 2012

I’m not usually a fan of mashups; I can’t stay on task for too long, and have trouble paying attention to all the different noises and having to pick up different songs and all that jazz. But DJ 21azy’s mashups have always been an enigma to me. For some reason, they keep me interested. He always seems to pick my favorite songs, and all of his mashups have the perfect mood. “Can’t Hold the Wild,” is no different, effortlessly combining Macklemore and Steppenwolf, DJ 21azy creates a mashup perfect for kicking off your summer.

Electro-House, Mashups | Kaskade vs. Steve Aoki & Tommy Trash – Be Still Ladi Dadi (Kaskade’s Freaks of Nature Mashup)

Posted by on May 30, 2012

I’ve always been a big fan of Kaskade, but ever since “Fire & Ice” established itself during EDC weekend as our de facto car soundtrack he and I have been undergoing a serious renaissance. As we know, the 41 year-old loves treating his fans to free mashups (which usually involve the juxtaposition of soaring female vocals and unlikely backdrops); here, he layers the vocals from his own “Be Still” on top of Tommy Trash’s remix of “Ladi Dadi.” I’m personally more partial to “Be Still Big Bang”, as I find that Franz Novotny’s instrumental offers a particularly stirring context for the vocals, but this is wonderfully done and a great listen.
