This is what it’s all about. There is nothing we love more than when a classic hip hop track gets the fresh make over it’s needed. This is one of those you’ll have stuck on repeat. I don’t recall the last time I heard a Fat Joe remix, but this one by Taylor Wise was well worth the wait. Giving it a nice pop twist with tropical vibes, Taylor Wise perfectly reworks the beat while working with Fat Joe’s rap verses, and brings in a super smooth chorus complemented by Ashanti’s lovely vocals. Marcio Lama has made it a point to demonstrate his versatility as a producer. ‘Melrose’ is a pure rendition of this statement. It’s blissful symphonic collection of bells, wavey synths and the seductive voice of Binks delivers a work of art. This insinuates an atmosphere of positive vibes and summer sunshine. The Dominican Republican native side-steps away from his comfort zone but to no one’s disappointment. This will feed anyone’s addiction for something fresh.

After playing this song literally once and getting about a 1:30 in, we realized we had a new song to repeat the duration of the week. Based out of Toronto, Torro Torro delivers tremendously on this rework of Badman, originally delivered through Dim Mak by Autoerotique and Max Styler. Some of the catchiest vocal chops we’ve heard in forever, followed by a contagious bass line and drum sequence. If this song doesn’t make you want to bust-out and show some kids up on the floor, your crazy. We’ll let the music speak for itself. Without further adieu….

Combining beautiful vocals with a melodic yet powerful chord progression, The Jane Doze’s debut single is one of those rare tracks that make you want to close eyes, put your hands up, and just take it all in. We’ve been following these girls since day one and can promise you they’re about to have a HUGE year. Keep an ear out for the rest of 2015, but for now, be sure to support them by purchasing their track on iTunes!

Future House | Prince Fox – Wait Until Tomorrow

Prince Fox paved a name for himself in the Future circles as an artist that has perfectly utilized splashy breaks and accelerated drops around slower BPM tones but today he’s released his first solo original and it is unlike anything he’s released in the past. He speeds things up with ‘Wait Until Tomorrow’, capturing the signature deep, hollowed vocal sound familiar with the genre and the rising tropical melody becoming associated with the sound. This track is refreshing – press play, I’m sure you’ll agree.

House | Henrix & Bream Ft. Zashanell – Alright (Original Mix)

Spring is officially upon us, and for electronic dance music junkies that means only one thing – festivals.’Alright’, out on Laidback Luke’s Mixmash Records, is an upbeat ride through big room drops accompanied by the sultry and yet soothing vocals of Zashanell. This is a track that projects sheer good vibes through its entirety, both lyrically and melodically. “We’re all in need of love, all in need of something, how do you fill that void?” Although much about the scene has changed since its early days, festivals and raves still serve as places free of judgment where every individual can let their freak flags fly. This track is for those kids who are still attracted to the music because it helps them feel at home in a strange world.
