Hip-Hop, Rap | Hit-Boy – Jay-Z Interview (Official Video)
Posted by J_Salzer on June 10, 2012
I hadn’t gotten around to watching this video because I thought it was an ACTUAL interview with Hit-Boy about Jay-Z…turns out, Hit-Boy titled the song “Jay Z Interview.” So sorry for the tardiness of this post. If you are not familiar with Hit-Boy, he produces for the likes of…well…everyone. Hit-Boy is signed to Kanye’s West’s GOOD Music, and the grammy nominated beat maker tries his hand at rapping in this video. His lyrics and wordplay is incredible, and his flow seems almost…Kanye like. I did find it interesting that he didn’t produce this track himself. Even if Hit-Boy’s career as a rapper doesn’t take off, he can always fall back on making dope beats.
Electro, Mashups | Calvin Harris Ft. Ne-Yo Vs. Erick Decks – World Explode Let’s Go
Posted by GMONEY on May 28, 2012
Hamburg’s own Erick Decks has been on fire recently, releasing more remixes, bootlegs and his own productions than almost any DJ/producer I know. His latest release is a mashup of Calvin Harris & Ne-Yo’s hit “Let’s Go” and his own “World Explode”. The result is DOPE, Ne-Yo’s lyrics fall perfectly with Deck’s heavy electro synths. Download below and get at Erick Deck’s Soundcloud.

Dubstep, Electro-House | Virtual Riot ft. Amba Shepherd – Superhuman (Andrew D Dubstep Bootleg)

So we previewed this amazing remix courtesy of Andrew D last week on R Rated, which finally convinced him to finish it thanks to you guys and your support. I could have just released it as a free track, but I have been releasing Andrew’s past tracks right away and he doesn’t seem to be getting the support he deserves; I feel. So I decided that we will release this bootleg for free once his facebook hits 500 likes, which isn’t asking for too much. The more you guys share and get him to the goal of 500 likes, the sooner you can have this amazing remix, and trust me its dope. So go to his Facebook page provided HERE and give him a like if you want this track. I will also provide some of his other tracks below to show you what I mean when I say he doesn’t have the support he deserves.

Hip-Hop | Illicit Art – Beastie Mode
Posted by Mach on May 11, 2012
Now this is what I call honoring the dead. MCA was a legend and he deserves to be remember as so, Illicit Art did that and more. Sampling the Beastie Boys, E tha Young Chief produced a dope beat that the duo Illicit Art beasts over. You might as well just put this on repeat because it is catchy as hell.

Dubstep | R Rated # 28

I realize that our past R posts have started with previews and end with the free downloads, that’s not right so this week we are taking R back to front…in fact I decided to screw the previews/purchases and replace them with more free tracks. Kicking off this week is a bomb from Savant. He recently just lost almost everything on his hard drive, including a good portion of his upcoming EP, ‘Overworld.’ This is one of the few saves he was able to make.
Big Chocolate always drops some quality filth. This remix of his is actually trap, but damn does this deserve to be on R.
Every time I see Jay-Z and Kanye I get excited with the hopes it is the Cazzette remix we are all dying for. Well sadly this is not that remix, but then again should I complain?
Woah, VoidDS brought it with this original. This is dope as hell, the kind of track that artists should be remixing. Not that Call Me Somebody That I Used To Know Maybe crap.
I am really loving all these free originals artists are dropping. This one from Skullee is actually a fun track to listen do, and the drop isn’t too shabby either…it’s actually pretty sick.
Sev hit me up with this…wait what, another original? Hell yea, and funky disco glitch at that. AaA is even a little more famous than the others besides Savant. AaA has created some crazy remixes in the past. I was really excited to get to listen to this and it did not disappoint at all.
Indie, Pop | The Knocks-Learn To Fly

You’ve heard them with “Dancing with the DJ” and their very popular “Midnight City,” so here they are again! The Knocks combine indie, electro, jazz(?), and whatever the hell they want to do. They’re sweet beat and dope lyrics will make you go into a trance. Love it. Leave it. Whatever. Don’t care.

Drum & Bass, Dubstep | Protohype – Crush Mode Ft. Init
Posted by Mach on May 5, 2012
Protohype previewed this gem a few weeks ago on his youtube. Apparently his laptop was just stolen and the project was not backed up (after the same thing happening to Skrillex and Savant, you would think people would have learned by now). Anyways, Protohype has released the unfinished copy that he has available. Unfinished, this track is still dope as hell. I feel bad for him because tracks like these need to be completed. Message to those of you who have or are thinking of stealing an artist’s computer, you suck. It is people like you that ruin it for the rest of us, don’t smile because we all hate you for the issues that you cause. Get a life, big ups to Protohype for this amazing track.
