Dubstep | SKisM & DC Breaks – Killer (Ft. Dee Freer)

Posted by on July 2, 2012

SKisM is back at it again, this time with a collaboration with DC Breaks entitled Killer. After releasing an amazing track on the “Never Say Die Compilation” he is back at work for his label starting a series of releases for the next 6 month that is going to go a little something like this.

“Never Say Die presents SKisM – ‘The Division Series’.

PART 1: SKisM’ & DC Breaks’ ‘Killer’, featuring Dee Freer on vocals released 16th July with remixes from Tantrum Desire and Crush.

The series will be delivered in the form of 4 parts; each part consisting of an original with remix to be released over the next 6 months. Future collaborations will be with Zomboy, with remixes from Tantrum Desire, xKore, TC and Dirtyloud.

To accompany each release, there will be a 20 min DJ mix from SKisM that will fit together as one mammoth 80 minute mix at the end of the series.”

Of course this track is another heavy hitting, monstrous mix that we see SKisM providing time and time again with DC Breaks sprinkling some of their flavor throughout as well. Get your free download of the radio mix version of the track through the UKF youtube channel.

Electro-House | The Script – Nothing (Gazzo Short Remix)

Posted by on June 29, 2012

Gazzo, formerly Cloud 9, is a Producer, DJ, and Songwriter from northern New Jersey. As Cloud 9, Gazzo made a name for himself fast. Today he brings us a beautiful remix of The Scripts “Nothing.” The vocals on this track are just some of my favorites, I love tone of the voice a long with the content of them. Gazzo created an awesome long intro, building into the electro drop that just sets the dance floor on fire.

DO SOMETHING

Freestyle, Hip-Hop | Childish Gambino – The Backroom (Freestyle)

Posted by on June 9, 2012

Everybody’s favorite(and only) acting, producing, screenwriting, rapper stops by the BET Backroom to drop a great freestyle. After watching the 15 second ad for some strange new show featuring Cedric the Entertainer, I was understandably in a pretty pissy mood. But after hearing this, and seeing Gambino’s sweatshirt, I was immediately put in a better mood. He murders some random BET beat with a few random DJ scratches in cold blood.

Also, Kendrick stopped by The Backroom to annihilate a funeral like beat with a quickly spit 64 bars. At some point, you have to start questioning how much of this is ACTUALLY freestyled, but anyway, check out Kendrick’s freestyle here, and Donald’s above.

Hip-Hop, Mashups | Can’t Hold The Wild (Mackelmore vs. Steppenwolf) – DJ 21azy

Posted by on June 2, 2012

I’m not usually a fan of mashups; I can’t stay on task for too long, and have trouble paying attention to all the different noises and having to pick up different songs and all that jazz. But DJ 21azy’s mashups have always been an enigma to me. For some reason, they keep me interested. He always seems to pick my favorite songs, and all of his mashups have the perfect mood. “Can’t Hold the Wild,” is no different, effortlessly combining Macklemore and Steppenwolf, DJ 21azy creates a mashup perfect for kicking off your summer.

Electro, Mashups | Calvin Harris Ft. Ne-Yo Vs. Erick Decks – World Explode Let’s Go

Posted by on May 28, 2012

Hamburg’s own Erick Decks has been on fire recently, releasing more remixes, bootlegs and his own productions than almost any DJ/producer I know. His latest release is a mashup of Calvin Harris & Ne-Yo’s hit “Let’s Go” and his own “World Explode”. The result is DOPE, Ne-Yo’s lyrics fall perfectly with Deck’s heavy electro synths. You’ve heard them with “Dancing with the DJ” and their very popular “Midnight City,” so here they are again! The Knocks combine indie, electro, jazz(?), and whatever the hell they want to do. They’re sweet beat and dope lyrics will make you go into a trance. Love it. Leave it. Whatever. Don’t care.
