‘Waiting Around’ is a funky, electronic indie song from the live band / DJ hybrid duo Boombox. It is the first single off their upcoming album Filling In The Color, set to come out January 14th. This song incorporates a large amount of live band elements from guitar solos to horns leaving us with a jam inspired twist reminding me of The Grateful Dead, which isn’t surprising with Guitar / Lead Vocalist Zion of Boombox being the son of two members from the group (Keith and Donna Jean Godchauxt).

Dutch phenom Sandro Silva has been on the scene since he was 15, soon breaking through with his release “Prom Night”. The mastermind behind the game-changing single “Epic” (he sheds light on it during the interview), Sandro Silva has proven he is not a one hit wonder, garnering a countless number of other well-received singles & remixes on labels like Mixmash, Spinnin’, and most recently, Revealed Recordings.
His most recent single, “Payback” hit the top ten of the Beatport main charts and has been a favorite of artists like Hardwell, Benny Benassi, Deniz Koyu and plenty more. We had the chance to chat with him about his most recent single to see what makes it different from other festival-styled tracks, ghost production, an accusation incorrectly thrown at him, and more. Yesterday the EDM world wonder child Martin Garrix released his “Wizard” top 10 list on Beatport, and the Reece Low remix of Australian duo Bombs Away made it onto the list, and if you take a listen, you’ll understand why, the track goes hard! If you’re a DJ, I strongly suggest you include this tune in your mix, that Melbourne bounce sound is gaining popularity, and the Australians are absolutely killing it! This is a must listen and a must download!

Avicii’s “All You Need Is Love” didn’t make the final cut for his album and was only available as a Spotify bonus track. If I had to guess, the reason being for that is probably because, aside from the catchy melody that is in every Avicii song, it was extremely one-dimensional and clearly one of his earlier productions from before his style progressed into what majority of the album consisted of. Maestro Harrell, a DJ, producer, singer and actor from Chicago is the man who gave “All You Need Is Love” some substance and made it into a track worth multiple listens.

I’m a week behind on this track, but damn, spike up your coffee and get ignorant with Party Favor’s “Touch,” a track off his 30k EP, which he will release once he reaches 30k fans on Facebook (get to liking!). Also in the works for Mr Favor is a remix of “Booyah” by Showtek released under Spinnin Records. Blast this record, anticipate your favorite DJ spinning this, and all of the girls twerking to this, cause it goes hard. I might even include this one in my baby making playlist. This is a must listen!
