Havok Roth’s past few remixes have been more of the turnt festival trap variety, earning support from the likes of Diplo and others, but with this rendition of the aforementioned Diplo’s single with Sia “Plastic Hearts, he tones it down for something more laidback. The Weeknd’s vocals are sacrificed for the greater good of the tune, letting Sia’s voice shine over a trapped out instrumental that borrows from the original and adds pitched percussion. A sound similar to those of Wave Racer, Trippy Turtle, and Cashmere Cat, 813 throws down an insane mix, even previewing of one of his new songs. So I’m sure you’re all familiar with JB’s lullaby “Memphis” that has that longing feel to it, but you’re probably more unfamiliar with the music behind the artist. SIRIUSMO takes the infamous Djemba Djemba’s original flip on the song and created it his own, making it for a inevitable banger. As some seem to think that he stole this beat from Diplo, the real DL is that they both produced the final version on J Beib’s record, so just listen before you go pointing fingers… This song is fresh.

All the music that I listened to throughout the last 12 months enough to make me sick but somehow didn’t. The fields of music brought a bountiful yield in 2013 which allowed listeners like me to tune into more genres and artists than I could ever imagine. In order to cover all my necessary bases, I’ve drafted quite a comprehensive list (or two) missing prety much only anything Jennifer Lawrence related although if all the things she said this year were songs then they would 100% have made it on my list as well.

We showed you the TomorrowWorld aftermovie in all of its glory earlier this month, ID&T has not been the only promotor announcing big festival news in North America, nor is it the only ID&T festival with noteworthy news. Sticking with ID&T, its oldest festival, Mysteryland has announced the details for its move to the US, taking place over Memorial day weekend in Bethel New York, on the site of the the legendary 1969 Woodstock. Tickets are now on sale, and for cheap, so get them as a last minute Christmas present.
It has been known for some time that Electric Zoo after SFX acquired Made Event, but now we know it will be coming to Mexico City on May 4th & 5th. No further details, but sign up on the website for pre-sale info. Like E Zoo, Insomniac is also expanding with the insistence guidance of its new boss, Live Nation, to Mexico City, taking place on March 15th and 16th. Tickets are on sale now. Forgot to include it originally but, Ultra announced the first phase of its lineup, bringing guys like Prydz presents Holo?!, Avicii, Above & Beyond, Diplo, MIA, Empire Of The Sun and many many more to what should be a packed weekend. Grandtheft just hit 50k fans on Facebook, so he decided to give away this very tasty freebie. He has become known for his remixing prowess, notably alongside Diplo, or on Mad Decent itself. Generally Madeon songs are best left alone, but here Grandtheft does just enough to make it a viable trap remix, while still keeping the genius of the original in tact.
