This year’s biggest breakout artist, Gryffin, is currently breaking the mold in the music-sphere by magnifying the use of live instrumentation in his performances, alongside a string of releases that continue to redefine the melodic house domain. The Los Angeles-based artist is not only responsible for one of the biggest singles of the year, “Heading Home,” but he’s been able to strengthen his legacy time and time again with every release. Now, after boosting his reputation with his widely-received sophomore single, “Whole Heart” ft. Bipolar Sunshine, Gryffin is now preparing for an eponymous fall tour, sided by a brand new Flight Log 004 that features his recent Diplo & Friends guest mix.
This recent Flight Log once again sets a high bar in Gryffin’s musical treasury, leading into the mix with a ceaseless spread of up-and-coming house artists before taking us into a layout of future bass features.

News | Destructo Announces Ship2Ship Tour’s Return, Unleashes “Bodyback” & Diplo & Friends Mix

HARD’s head honcho, DESTRUCTO, is coming through with some big news on several fronts. In between the two highly anticipated Holy Ship! events in January and February, he’ll be embarking on his Ship2Ship tour with Justin Martin and Rezz staring on January 14th, and they’ll be keeping the madness going in major cities across North America until February 5th. On top of this, DESTRUCTO also announced his new single, “Bodyback,” which is a shadowy, g-house thumper that’s set for release on a compilation on AC Slater’s famed Night Bass label this Friday. Lastly, he released his Diplo & Friends mix that features some of his own unreleased tracks, “4 Real,” “Beatdown,” and “Future,” as well as other songs from his West Coast EP, and tunes from Sharam Jey, Jauz, GTA, Justin Jay, Genghis Clan, and many more. The genre spanning producer out of Boulder, Colorado is in the midsts of headlining his Cold Crush Tour. A few days back Hypetrak premiered Paper Diamonds latest offering. “Black Rose” is light, easy-going tune that rides the cusp between a Hip Hop instrumental and a downtempo electronic jawn. Cashmere Cat, for reasons other than being a fellow cat lover, is one of my absolute favorites right meow. I’ve been a fan of everything he’s been putting out so I was even more stoked when I got to indulge in an entire hour of his sweet sounds on this episode of Diplo & Friends radio. He does an astounding job of bouncing (literally, check the mattress squeaking motif) from hip hop to hot beats to trap and experimental noises and manages to keep the listener engaged throughout. Some highlights include his own personal tracks, Mirror Maru (2:55) and Kiss Kiss (18:20), throwbacks like the Men in Black theme (34:40), and a witty surprise in the middle of Justin Timberlake’s Señorita (9:50).
