House | Dim Mak welcomes Ekonovah with debut house original “Wait A Minute”
Posted by VMan on March 20, 2019
Newcomer Ekonovah is a name you’re going to want to start following. “Wait a Minute” released today on Aoki’s legendary EDM label Dim Mak has that unique, addicting buildup and rhythm that stands out in a sea of recent similar sounding bass-house tracks. Take three minutes and give this a listen then grab the free download.
“Wait A Minute was so fun to write. I made it pretty fast, in only 3 sessions or so. I became really inspired by the idea of oscillating back and forth from this grandiose reverb to a dry, dampened sound which I’ve since been implementing in a lot of my tracks. Once I found those horn hits which occur before the second drop and outro, that’s when the full idea really solidified into a cohesive track. Suddenly, it had this fun ‘x-factor’ that crowds respond to really well during my sets!”

Bass, Trap | LO-Def Follows Up Dim Mak Remix With “It’s On”
Posted by VMan on April 15, 2017
Based in Garden Grove, you may have seen LO-DEF around on the internet via his official Dim Mak remix of “Devil’s Lettuce” by Bro Safari and ETC!ETC!. He’s now returned with his first single of the year, an original called “It’s On.” The release has all the makings that listeners got a taste of in the Dim Mak remix, but with a fresh core elements newly introduced.
The core of “It’s On” is certainly it’s hard, trap and bass feel. Pulsating, rhythmic percussion layer on top of dark, almost-spooky vibes found within this track that would undoubtably go off in the club. Gaining traction and getting noticed as an artist is, in part, about locking down credible achievements – Lo-Def is skipping ahead of his colleagues via strong productions, partnering with notable labels, and on-point branding.

House | Botnek & 3LAU – Vikings (Bixel Boys Remix)
Posted by Middy on September 17, 2014
The Bixel Boys keep on killing it with great tunes, great marketing and the Freelife shirts that a who’s who of DJs have been sporting. With a couple of originals under their belts this summer, the duo get back to remixes, being tabbed by Dim Mak records to take on one of their biggest tunes this year “Vikings”. With its quintessential Botnek sound, “Vikings” was a smash from the get go, personified by the crowd reaction at Ultra during Jack U’s set. The Bixel Boys add their “big room underground” twist to the tune as Rob & Ian come close to Oliver Heldens, but stay far enough away to remain fresh sounding with this one.
