DJ-Set | Avicii Dromatic Essential Mix
Posted by GMONEY on July 2, 2011
As one of the rising stars in the DJ world, and arguably the face man for Big Room House, Avicii always seems to be on the tip of everyones tongue around here. I could definitely listen to this guy for daysss. To that end, Dromatic has provided us with a really dope, hour long, DJ mix of some Avicii’s classics. Hit the jump for the full set list.
Also, while were on the subject of dope Big Room jams, check this one out by Aylen

Electro, House | Swedish House Mafia – Save the World (dBerrie Remix)
Posted by GMONEY on June 28, 2011
Okay so I know there have been a million and one remixes to to Save The World already, but this one is definitely worth a listen. Honestly I haven’t been very impressed by many of the STW remixes I have come across thus far, probably because the original was just so damn good, but this one really seems to resonate with me. Dubstep | Wick-it, Costello, and Wonkap & Torrid | Dubstep

This is like an older pretty lights style, that is until Wick-it drops some sweet wobbles. The vocals fit nice with the beat he remixed in. Definitely adding this one to the summer dubstep playlist.

I posted a Udachi remix a few weeks ago, the last one was a little more on the dutch side. This track has a dutchy vibe itself, but uses basslines and wobble a little bit more. I would go as far to say that this is a sick ‘dutchstep’ track.

It’s about that time in a post when I put in a heavy track. First listening to this I was really disappointed in the lame continuation of the original beat. Damn was I surprised when this track dropped like a freshman after a strike out.

Electro | Drop The Lime – Hot as Hell (AC Slater Remix) | Electro

No idea who Ac Slater is, but this hot upbeat track deserves its own post for sure. I am loving the feel good vibes this sick remix is giving off, definitely got me in a good mood to start the weekend off right. Seeing as I know nothing about this guy, all i can tell you is the track is worth the download.

Hip-Hop | New Linen – Forget Who You Are, DMO – Prayer | Chill Hip-Hop

Well I know what I’ll be listening to on the beach tomorrow (all of our Dewey Beach fans stand up). New Linen’s latest work is arguable their best. I can definitely dig their vibe, the beat matched by the smooth guitar chords works perfectly with their verses.

The second featured artist, DMO, is an up and comer hailing from San Diego, Ca. His fresh flow and solid production piqued my ear, I’ll be following him in the future to see how he moves up from his solid foundation. For more information, check out DMO’s Facebook page.

Hip-Hop | Drake & Rock City, Eminem & Royce | Hip-Hop

I stumbled on this video from a friend of mine. At first I was kinda lost, but when the beat dropped and I heard the hook, I couldn’t help to bob my head. It reminds me of The Lion King a bit. What do yall think, want to hear more from Pangea Kidz?

Here is yet another leak of Bad Meets Evil. Its getting hard to keep up with all these. Royce’s line at the 4:00 mark will definitely make you chuckle.

Rock City is back with another track with a recycled Drizzy verse batting lead-off. Speaking of Drake, check out this interesting article that analyses who he was talking about when he said “My favorite rappers either lost it or they ain’t alive” in his track, Dreams Money Can Buy.
