You know life is good when you’re 19 years old and the band holding the number one song in the country is asking you to hop on a remix. When Mac first publicly announced he would be appearing on Maroon 5 & Christina Aguilera’s remix to “Moves Like Jagger”, the song was at the #2 spot on the Billboard charts. Since, the song has climbed to #1 overall just in time for Mac to lay down his ever so witty vocals. Take a listen and know Mac Miller is coming for you whether you like it or not.

In other news, Mac has launched one of the most unique album release proposal in the history of hip-hop. While Mac is still only signed to his indy label, Rostrum Records, he’s got some freedom to do really, well, whatever the hell he wants. Mac took to his social networks to announce that he will release his album the moment his pre-sales reach 100,000, regardless of whether that comes before the previous release date of November 8th. With that, at 25,000 pre-sales, Mac Miller release the title track, “Blue Slide Park” and at 50,000 he will donate $50,000 to charity. Pretty clever if you ask me. Yes, that is in fact a date, September 23, 2011. I found it on SHM’s facebook page, there was also a link to this website 230911. Obviously something awesome is going to happen on this date, what exactly you ask? No idea, but seeing as the wait is only 4 days from now, we will find out soon enough. My guess is they will be announcing their second album. The “11” is written as “II,” which I hope most of you recognize as the roman numeral for “2.”
Another great Facebook find comes from a new member to the FNT family, Spice. She is too busy at the moment to post it herself, but here we are always on the look out for new tunes. Although Axwell is awesome, out of the three from SHM, my favorite would have to be Steve Angello. He can turn any instrumental track into pure gold.

Middy posted the Swedish House Mafia Essentials mix just a few days ago, but Knife Party just uploaded this to their youtube page. For those of you that don’t know, Knife Party is the side project of the duo from Pendulum, Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen. It is a little funny how much more popular Knife Party is becoming over Pendulum. There is no set release date of this epic collaboration, but it always a good thing once artists post up studio quality somewhere.

Shortly after Jermaine released what was arguably the most highly anticipated single, “Mr. Nice Watch”, off his debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, featuring his mentor, boss, and father figure, Jay-Z, we received a second dosage of Cole World. MTV premiered the visuals for Cole’s first official single (other than Lights Please & In The Morning), “Can’t Get Enough”, which features Trey Songz, as the crew takes a trip to the sunny island of Barbados. Personally, I think this is in Cole’s top 3 to date, and the camaraderie between J and Trey is phenomenal for their first collab. Keep an eye out around the 3:15 mark and let me know if you catch a glimpse of a little bird that Cole was rumored to have a sex tape with. Hint, her name starts with a R and ends with ihanna. Cole recently addressed these flakey rumors…
“I just let ’em talk. They also say I’ve got a sex tape [with Rihanna] and they say I got dropped from Roc Nation,” joked Cole. “It’s been a hell of a two weeks. They put a picture of one of my fans on the Internet and said it was my girlfriend…I figured out, now that I’m on the other side [of the rumor mill], it’s just so random. It doesn’t start from no where, it’s just like tabloids back in the day. People get paid, they making their money off of making up kind of outlandish stories. ‘Jay-Z said he gon’ beat J.
