Moiez has been quiet lately, notably since we premiered his remix of “Reload“, but he is back to the remix front with his take on one of Justin Timberlake’s recent tracks from the “20/20 Experience Pt. 1”. Well, technically this is a cover of that track by Anoop Desai, and then Moiez remixed it, so remix squared. The Vancouver native takes the strengths of the original / cover and adds a soothing, trancey melody, much like some of his older works like “Flight”, which is now being repackaged into a “3LAU collab” and rereleased with Justin’s name on it.

Aight y’all, I’m gonna come out and say I’ve been on a bit of a female empowerment kick lately (stay tuned, you’ll see) so I had to contribute a remix from one of the baddest bitches out in the game right now – that being, Iggy Azalea. Incase you’re not familiar with the Australian pop songstress, lemme inform you first and for most that, other than a wicked sense of style and ferocious stage presence, this girl has some serious curves, second perhaps only to the Bootylicious queen herself, Beyoncé of course. I tell you this because when you see Iggy in her music videos and on the cover of magazines, she looks like a *freaking* goddess. So all you prepubescent looking teenagers in your wife beaters can just move over because once Iggy gets in the spotlight there won’t be any room left for you.
Ehem. Anyways.
Here’s a remix from her second single of her album, The New Classic. After dropping a dope ass video, Iggy released a series of remixes of the track, so here’s my personal favorite: a very deep, head-bobbing rework from the man of many faces but who we’ll call Maddslinky // Zed Bias. FLXXDS is a three part project made up of Gazzo, Crywolf, and half of PRFFTT & Svyable. Their cover of “Two Coins” gives the beautiful original track by City and Colour a new electronic twist. It’s fresh and clean while the melancholy vibe of the original track is still kept in tact. I’m excited to hear more from this new group! This one’s free so check it out!

I am generally pretty skeptical of covers, especially taking songs into different genres, but AC Slater & Anna Lunoe nailed it. It is more of a remix / cover, then a pure cover, since it only takes bits and pieces of the original “Power Trip” from J Cole & Miguel. The track takes a simple vocal motif, spins it into new light with Anna Lunoe seductive voice and adds an irresistible groove, with a mixture of deep and bright synths. It is free, so just get it now. He is also a part of Jack Beat’s upcoming remix EP, coming next week, so preview that below.
