Photo Finish / Republic’s Clinton Sparks released the cover art to his upcoming “ICONoclast” EP, and we couldn’t be more excited about this project. In addition to the cover art, he also released the tracklist (featuring some serious big-hitters) for this much-anticipated album. I think it’s time I post something really fun. Here is Just A Gent’s bouncy remix of “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” by Tears For Fears. I’m hesitant to put it under dubstep, so I’ll just leave it in electronic and you can decide on the genre for yourselves. Aside from that sweet cover art (wow!), this track is party ready. The melody easily swings through upbeat drops and synth work. This is a track that just makes you want to get up and dance. Just A Gent revamped this 80’s dance tune into a modern masterpiece. If you weren’t already impressed by that gorgeous cover art then get ready to possibly be impressed by the song it belongs to. Zack Edward is capable of Axtone quality cover arts but is he capable of Axtone quality tracks? hmmmm… Moving on, Zack Edward is a producer from NYC and has just put out what is probably his best track yet. It is a progressive house remix for Filo & Peri’s “This Night”, a trance song from 2010. The original is great and this remix certainly does it justice.

Not sure where you are in the world, but the sun is bright and shining here in NYC, and what better way to compliment these glorious vibes with some straight sex by Slinger with his cover of Prince’s “No Money.” I’ve had the track on repeat all morning and man it feels good to be a gangster. Feel the soul, feel the funk, get into this one, I’m straight up out here dancing at my desk like nobody’s watching, and I have no clue who Slinger is. The man only has one 1 track up! This is a must listen and I can’t wait to hear more!

When Lizzie McGuire kissed Gordo on top of that hotel roof in Rome in the Lizzie McGuire movie I just lost it. It was so obvious he was crushing hard and to see him finally toss it in there made my bros and I all very happy. The feeling of surprise Gordo must have felt in that moment is what I feel right now as I write a post for a big room track. Riggi & Piros are among the upper echelon of the (thankfully dying) big room sound and have decided to give away a track for free. It is titled “WOW” and has the worst cover art I have ever seen. I don’t know what they were going for but it is not erotic in the slightest. As far as the song goes, it’s largely typical big room stuff. It is also good though. I dislike big room but Riggi & Piros have managed to momentarily convince me otherwise.

A few days back a new cover titled, “Money On My Mind”, graced my inbox. Now, going in to this I was hesitant as I am with any cover, especially since Sam Smith had done such an amazing job on the original. However, to my pleasant surprise, the MisterWives did not disappoint.
I’m a little late to the party on this song, so hopefully this will reach all of the ears that missed it the first time around! The harmonious vocals perfectly complement the simple piano and drums to create a sound that will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day.
