Mix | DJ Trademark – Over The Top Mix
Posted by Juicebox on March 12, 2013
DJ Trademark follows up his New Years Eve Mix with his latest hour long mix of electro bangers entitled, “Over The Top Mix.” It really is an art when someone can take 20+ songs ranging all across the board and turn it into a seamlessly blended hour long piece of work. Trademark absolutely crushes this mix, so whether you’re going to the gym or need a party playlist, I highly recommend downloading this guy. Tracklist after the jump.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Kyle Lucas & Captain Midnite — I’m Only A Little Crazy, Baby (Haunting Me) [Music Video]
Posted by jeffwbaird on March 4, 2013
Here is the latest video from one of my favorite emcee/producer duos, Kyle Lucas and Captain Midnite. Just off the heels of the Seattle producer’s most recent EP, All This Will Fade, Midnite connects with the Marietta rapper over this fiery track, complete with some visuals that definitely live up to the track’s name (hint: there’s murder, straight jackets, and an insane asylum, among other things). Check the video out below, and if you haven’t gotten their most recent collaborations, you’re going to want to get on that now.
Hip-Hop, Videos | Accent — Everybody’s Crazy (feat. Kinetics) [Music Video Premiere]
Posted by jeffwbaird on February 28, 2013
It shouldn’t come as a surprise to you that I love introspective hip-hop—and man does this new Accent track take the cake. Amidst a genre primarily concerned with braggadocio and glorified false personas, Accent utilizes his singing skills to evoke this powerful jam about “accepting the imperfections that define us, and being proud of them.” The Kid Vision-produced single from his Sight & Sound EP features a verse from frequent collaborator Kinetics—whose internal rhyme-schemes become more impressive by the song—and impressive visuals courtesy of Hickory that highlight the song’s meaning and personal nature, which Accent eloquently described for us:
“The song recognizes that every human has their own unique qualities, yet it acknowledges that those differences between us are what make all of us the same; everyone struggles with their own experiences and identities. The sources of my own pain are very literally expressed here and every word is carefully recited making for a clear projection of the message. I reference my own issues regarding bi-raciality, growing up without a father and being almost obsessed with what I loved about my childhood but I also touch on my capacity for love and the purpose I have for existing. While “Everybody’s Crazy” comes from a sad place in my heart it encourages people to transform the negativity in their histories into a beautiful representation of the strength they have developed from it.”
Mainstream Remix | NERVO & Hook N Sling – Reason (Forever Kid Remix)
Posted by Juicebox on February 1, 2013
Forever Kid is back again with a brand new remix with hopes of winning both Nervo’s tender love as well as their remix competition. After listening to over 50 submissions of this remix, this track is by far the best produced, melodic, and overall remix by far. This LA based duo hailing form Stockholm, Sweden is beyond deserving of a win here for their consistency and pure raw talent, you may remember them from their banger/party starter remix of Somebody I Used to Know”. Show them some love and vote for their track, these guys deserve it. Vote here.
Chill | The XX- Fiction (DeltaFoxx Remix)
Posted by ATexas on January 31, 2013
The xx is my favorite band, hands down can’t beat it…well at the moment. I go through phases. With the amount of progressive house out there trying to pump me up and making my head have a migraine because I’m not rolling all the time, I need something to just be like “Hey, chill out, but don’t be a f**cking loser.” If you’re looking to not hate your life I suggest xx remixes. Can’t go wrong 9 times out of 9.

Dubstep | R Rated #62
Posted by Mach on January 31, 2013
This week brings one of the heaviest R Rated posts we have had in a while. Luck of the draw for this weeks filthy tunes. Starting off this week is one of the heaviest things I have heard from Poseidon, which says a lot considering it’s his forte. At the same time this is the best Lord of the Rings themed original. Enjoy.
Next is this sick preview from JPhelpz off his upcoming EP, “Termination.” The bass on this track is unbelievable, if was any harder we would be deaf now.
The drop on this new release from Rogue has almost a funk filth vibe to it. I know some will see the correlation to Skrillex on this drop style, but it is still an awesome track. Get bent haters.
Speaking of Skrillex, this remix was a sweet find. Skrillex’s newest EP was bad, but then again it wasn’t all that great either. If this remix from Caden Jester was featured on the EP it would have been great. This remix owns face.
