It is always a joy to click on a random submission in the sea of unread emails that sit in my inbox and find something really good. All the way from sunny and warm Melbourne, Australia, Illstrtd adds his name to the talented chillwave, trap artists who are taking over from down under. Sometimes you click play on a song and it seems simple enough, but you rather enjoy it. You then give it a couple more seconds of play and all of a sudden your eyes swell up and it turns out to be one of the most emotional songs you have heard in a long time on just the instrumentals alone. Just A Gent & Kasbo have provided that emotion for me with this incredible track, and I think anyone else that listens will receive, if not the same, similar feelings.

This might be premature to say, but this new tune by Lady Gaga, and R. Kelly might be my favorite track of 2013, and I’m only on my first play of the record. The ass made me click play, and I don’t regret it. The great DJ Snake produced this record, and it’s already #1 in 13 countries, safe to say anything the man touches turns into gold! THIS IS A MUST LISTEN!

The Bloody Beetroots is releasing his second artist album “Hide” next week on the 17th, and to celebrate, we are giving away a whole bunch of apparel and a copy of the CD. The Bloody Beetroots have evolved and become even better with this CD, as seen with his collabs with Sir Paul McCartney and Theophilus London, so you will want to grab yourself a copy. Events | Five Things We Can’t Wait For At Electric Zoo 2013

Summer is flying by, which is bittersweet on one hand but totally amazing on the other. Why? Because it means that we’re getting closer and closer to Electric Zoo’s blowout fifth year. If you’re not up on your EZoo life, check out our official recap video from last year and see what you missed. Yeah — it was pretty killer. Fortunately, this year is already shaping up to be bigger and better than ever for many reasons, not least of which are:
1) Two mainstages (count ’em, TWO) and an expanded festival site on Randall’s Island. More on that later.
2) A new 18 and up policy. Sorry, youths (#YOUTHS) of the world — I’m too old for your shenanigans and look forward to mingling with an older and wiser crowd. *Wheezes; testily gestures for you to GET OFF MY LAWN.*
3) A totally killer lineup — which is par for the course by EZoo’s standards. There’s lots to be excited about here, but we’ve come up with five things that we’re especially stoked for. Check ’em out after the jump.
