Chiddy Bang stopped by Jay-Z and Steve Stoute’s marketing agency, Transition LLC and spit a (actual) freestyle. Xaphoons on the keys and mixes that beat on the spot; these kids are so talented its ridiculous. Theres nothing more when I hate kids say they’re freestyling and they drop metaphors even drake couldn’t think of. You can hear him hesitate and flow with things in the room (steve stout, when the guy drops a coin, and steve stout) and then even ask for topics to rap with and still keeps it sick I’ve got too much respect for how sick this (actual) freestyle is, oh and he goes for 7 minutes by the way. (Shout out to dan bingyou aka Mr. Varsity)

In some unrelated “bro news” I was on the phone w/ Big Life today. If you don’t know why we call him Big Life then you haven’t met him in person. Anyways, Big Life iced Chiddy Bang on stage at Summer 618. Apparently, there’s some footage of it circulating around the internet as well. Funny enough, Chiddy Bang refused the icing. Fresh New Tracks is calling on all bros to demand an apology from Chiddy Bang for being in direct breach of the bro/icing laws. In their defense, the argument can be made that Chiddy Bang simply wasn’t hip to the phenomenon. This argument is a poor one because it further highlights how out of touch Chiddy Bang is with the brommunity. I’m a Chiddy Bang fan, but I’ve gotta call it like I see it.

Summer 618 is an event that is being held on a 7000-person field on a Woodstock-sized farm just outside of Philly and Trenton, 1 hour from NYC by a $12 train. The line-up is as follows:
Chiddy Bang
Super Mash Bros.
5 & A Dime
plus 3 Philadelphia DJs
And 4 Surprise Electronic Artists in VIP dome/stage*
The VIP will be underneath an Ultra-style geodesic dome, a second stage will also host the official VIP after-party. The event is also eco-friendly and fueled by biodiesel, run with electronic ticketing, and hosted on a natural food local-crop farm that will reinvest its profits in sustainability. These guys care about the environment and that’s something I think that is important given the current spill in the Gulf as well as debate over Cap And Trade (which is an unnecessary carbon tax on America that will do little to combat climate change). That’s just my Political Science/Philosophy coming out. Anyways…

Our buddies over at Brobible.com are throwing their biggest party yet at Terminal 5 in NYC on Friday, June 4th. “BroBible.com’s Revelation Summer Kick-Off concert” will be headlined by Pretty Lights with supporting acts from RJD2 and FNT fav Chiddy Bang. All the proceeds of the bash will go towards Pencils of Promise so be sure to come out for it.
If you want to join FNT at this concert, here are the details on how to get tickets:
Venue: Terminal 5, New York City.
Date: Friday, June 4, 2010.
Doors: 7:30 p.m.
Show: 8:30 p.m.
Age: All ages.
Tickets: $35 each general admission; $95 for VIP tickets including a four-hour open bar from 8 p.m. to midnight (must be 21 or over and show government-issued photo ID).
Charity: One hundred percent of net proceeds benefit Pencils of Promise, an amazing organization that helps improve education in the developing world.
Presale tickets start Tuesday at noon – visit Ticketmaster.com and type in “brobible” when prompted for a password. Amex cardholders and Pretty Lights fans will get presale access on weds and then on Friday tickets are available to the general public.
