I feel your struggle Pat. I feel your struggle. It hits close to home, as I’m only a few months away from 24 myself. And I’m definitely feeling the effects. All of my friends are getting married. I can’t stay out as late as I used to. I’ve gained like 10 pounds. Growing up is hard, despite the fact that my I’m on my parent’s health insurance, and car insurance, and phone bill. But I digress. This song goes out to all you 20 somethings just trying to find your path in life. Shout out to all my people born in 1988. Represent!

Ever since I watched the video for M.I.A.’s “Bad Girls” last week I knew we’d be in for a slew of heavy remixes. What I didn’t realize is that one would come so quickly. StereoHereos brings the filth on this, adding a wicked beat and some grimy synthwork that complement the tone of the song perfectly. If you haven’t checked out the video yet you definitely should — if only because I really need someone to tell me where I can buy everything that M.I.A. is wearing and how I can get my car to do that.

You might remember The Connects from their absolutely ridiculous video for their song “Summer In The City” this past summer. You know.. the one with them roller blading around in short shorts and a couple “little people” who keep bothering a lovely lady who just wants to wash her car. Yeah, that one.
Well, Mr. Dan and D-Truss are back and wish you a Merry Christmas in the only way The Connects can. Any attempt at describing this latest video is futile. Just watch the video.

Okay, so usually I post really soft rap with super melodic beats, not this time. I want to describe this song, but I’d rather just describe what I’d do with the song. First of all I’m going to borrow my friends black Range Rover (because my white car is just too girly), then I’m going to get my biddies, roll the windows down, get out the most obnoxiously large aviators and bounce. I live in maybe not the best area of a metropolis and I’m just going to roll out and be a badass for a 5 minute campus loop. Bam! Instantly (kind of) fly.

This latest track from P-Holla, Ode to Dreamers, is a dedicated to anyone who takes risks to pursue their dreams. The song was actually inspired by Ryan Notes’ real life story of quitting his job, selling his car and moving to New York to pursue his musical career. P-Holla has been friends with Notes for a couple of years now and plans to work with him more in the future. Based on their first collaboration, I am definitely pumped to hear more from these two.

This morning the transmission went on my car and it’s only 2 years old, but screw it. Irene is coming for the North East tonight which means one thing, PARTY!!! This post has no specific genre, just a few tracks to keep your Hurricane rager going. I wish best of luck to those of you who, like myself, are caught in this goliath’s path, but if you can help it, turn up the volume, grab someone to dance with, and let the wind blow!
NOTE: The first tracks name is unknown, it could be I Wanna Be Your Dog by Hard Rock Sofa and Swanky tunes. Due to the fact that many artist have done covers of this track more research is being done to discover the true identity of the track. Either way the track is SICK!
