The duo native to Massachusetts has been privileged with the opportunity to tour the beautiful US of A on several occasions. On their latest tour with Hoodie Allen, Jared Evan, and Mod Sun, David and Carter found it fitting to shoot visuals for their most recent single “Take It Wrong” across various scenery in some of their favorite cities. A couple weeks back I presented you with Cam Meekins’ newest song “Inhale”. After accumulating over 35,000 plays via Soundcloud we now have the visuals to accompany it. Per usual, Cam helps direct the video along with Goodwin, giving it that simple yet authentic feel his videos comprise of. At the end of the video the album artwork for Cam’s upcoming album Lamp City flashes. If you missed it, you can check it out along with the explanation of why he choose it here. Catch Cam live at one of his upcoming shows in Boston or Brooklyn using the link below!
Hip-Hop | Cam Meekins – Inhale

Hailing from Boston, young Cam Meekins’ just let loose this melodic self-produced track in light of his 20th birthday. The thing that intrigues me about Cam is that he sets himself apart from other upcoming artists in the same “league”. From producing his own beats down to his ever-changing lyrical style, he’s constantly working to make his music original. If you’ve been listening to him as long as I have you know that each project he’s dropped sounds completely different from the last. He does have an upcoming album Lamp City in the works which is completely produced by Cam himself, so be on the lookout! If you’re in the Boston area he is set to perform at Brighton Music Hall on April 18th so check that out and grab tickets using the link below.

Every so often an artist comes along that needs to be paid attention to, regardless of their genre. Boston-based singer/songwriter Adam Jensen, who has been feature on FNT before (HERE), is one of those artists.
His debut EP “Head on a String” showcases his phenomenal voice and ability to master so many sounds. All five (5) songs on the EP were written by Jensen, except “Lost Without You” which he co-wrote with Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20) and Nashville radio DJ, Dave Harris. “Lost Without You” was produced by Grammy Award nominee Aaron Johnson (The Fray). “Monsters” was produced by Barrett Yeretsian, best known for producing Christina Perri’s multi-platinum selling single “Jar of Hearts” and is absolutely on the same level. Adam then teamed up to co-produce with the former Boston Music Award “Producer of the Year” winner, Benny Grotto, on “Cannonball” and “Redemption Man” and Boston-based producer Taylor Barefoot on “Dead Man Walking.”
The EP is now available on iTunes and is a must buy for any music fan. Talent is talent. Currently it is at #9 on the singer/songwriter charts and climbing.

Boston has never been seen as a “birthplace for hip-hop”. Lately, Boston artists have been making an extra push to earn the respect of hip-hop fans worldwide and solidify their city as a reputable grounds for breeding authentic hip-hop talent. Artists such as Moufy and The Dean’s List have earned their accolades from their success of the past few years, but there’s always new talent emerging. The latest MC on the brink of birth outside the walls of Boston hip-hop is Jeff Replay. The 19-year old artist is 1/3 of the collective called ‘Pilot Nation’. The group is in the process of compiling a mixtape collectively which at the moment, is slated for a spring release. “The Runway” holds its place as a promo single leading up to the official releases in the coming months. Knocking production from CPR, excellent camera work from Decriminals and no shortage of depth in his lines from Replay. I think we got one, Boston.
