Bar9 have been around since the beginning of dubstep, but have fallen off the map as of late. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I woke up to this VIP being given away for free this morning because it has been their secret weapon in their shows for quite some time. This tune is the definition of nasty dubstep and I know many people on the internet are going nuts for this one.

Last night was history, and millions of people around the world with 20,000 in attendance were able to witness Swedish House Mafia becoming the first electronic act to ever headline the historic Madison Square Garden and brought that place to another universe. There are simply no words to describe what happened at Madison Square Garden last night it was that good. Their stage presence was off the charts, the visuals and effects were unreal with fireworks (whaaaaat inside MSG!?!?!) and the song choice and mixing was outrageous. It was the true live experience with all 20,000 people in the crowd belting out the lyrics and melodies to all the songs with Tinie Tempah AND John Martin showing up to do vocals for “Miami to Ibiza” and “Save the World”. The only thing missing was Pharrel doing the vocal version of “One” and the roof may have come down. They played a bunch of upcoming stuff on Size and Axtone and possibly a new song of theirs at the very beginning that was incredible. Listening to this set does not do the night justice, only being there would be true justice to what happened last night, but enjoy this set because it was f*cking incredible. This week just gets better and better. First it was the Knife Party EP, and now it’s these two gems. What else is there to say, except Skrillex and Cazzette’s remix to this song are both equally sick. Cazzette has been smashing the beatport charts lately and this is probably going to make its way to the top as well once it’s released. We have been waiting a while to get something from Skrillex, and hopefully this is just the beginning.

At the beginning of November, we launched the Jon Kilmer’s Music Video Contest, in promotion of his upcoming free beats mixtape, Sheeps Jeeps and Beats, which drops Christmas morning. Some artists are born with a gift, YONAS is one of those artists. With an ability to compose meaningful music, YONAS’ resume is longer than most of you probably expect. While his name is just beginning to really catch wind, his music stretches back over the last 3 or 4 years…and it’s all good.

Outasight released their visuals to their new smash hit “Tonight is the Night.” Richard Andrew(also known as Outasight) has been killing it since the beginning and I’m proud to say I’ve got to watch this artist grow. Catch “Tonight is the NIght” on all the Pepsi commercials coming out. As Biglife liked to point out, its a lot of hipster for one video, but hell live a little and embrace the hipster…temporarily of course.
Dubstep | Zeds Dead & The Killabits – Bassmentality

Zeds Dead and The Killabits dropped their anticipated new collaboration last week on iTunes and Beatport and it’s definitely a must listen. It’s not too heavy, but has a great drop and a cool, memorable riff at the beginning that is easy on the ears. If you’re just getting into dubstep you should definitely check this one out because it won’t melt your face off, and if you’re a hardened pro you should probably still throw this into your rotation because I’ve got a feeling we’re going to start hearing it around.
