Tuesday is always a great day for new music and today is no exception. Big_Once who is slated to play this year’s Lollapalooza dropped a fire original in the middle of the night he calls “Buck Shots”. The track has a sound that’s hard to pigeon-hole into just one genre. 90’s hip hop lyrics and a groove that sounds like it would be at home at an old Pretty Lights show make this bass track something special. This guy is also a technical badass behind the decks. He judges many Red Bull Thre3style competitions and took home the U.S. Championship title for himself in 2011.
Bass, Compilation | Moving Castle Vol. 004
Posted by Juicebox on March 20, 2015
Collectives are all the rage right now. Moving Castle has stood out among the rest as this group of Internet kids seem to have some serious creativity in the tank. Founding member AOBeats, Manila Killa, and Robokid started this project as a way to push each other to become better producers and they have now pulled in over 15 artists to build what Moving Castle is today. Their latest compilation, Volume 004, really steps up their love for bass-ridden genres and playful accents with the collective bringing in a couple newcomers to feature their tracks. One newcomer, Chet Porter, really shined with his track “Aluko River” that seems to take on a fantastical nature and really transport listeners into a dream-like world. Moving Castle Volume 004 is up for free download as usual so grab your copy now!

Sigma’s “Nobody To Love” was a huge record, and Treo, the trio from LA, took the Drum n Bass record to Electro-house land, layered with a progressive/pop vibe for that crossover appeal. You loved the sample in the Kanye West record “Bound 2” and you’ll love this remix by Treo! This is a must listen and a must download!

House | NVOY feat. Youngman – Sky High (Sonny Wharton Remix)
Posted by mimada on August 1, 2014
Every track the Oxford-duo NVOY has released has been bigger than the last – and that most certainly goes for one of their most recent singles, “Sky High.” (Heck, it’s in the name)
But in this remix, fellow Brit Sonny Wharton injects the original with a shot of adrenaline, turning it into an whirlwind dancefloor smash. Press play and take flight.
Bass, Deep House | NVOY – Don’t Ever
Posted by mimada on March 30, 2014
With the arrival of springtime and summer a moment away on the horizon, it seemed inevitable that the UK house duo NVOY would provide us with something to cater to those vibes. While their previous releases have all been deep, club-appropriate bangers, this track is a much airier one that I envision myself hearing at some chic, rooftop, poolside day party in the upcoming months, full of trendy socialites with good taste in music and bottomless Aperol Spritz. But I mean, even if I still don’t get an invite to the party, I’m confident in the growing hype of NVOY, this track will still be spinning. Hold your breath for their first official release here soon!

Bass | AYAH MARAR ‘KEEP ME UP’ (PRODUCED BY METRIK)
Posted by VMan on March 22, 2014
The Queen of Bass Ayah Marar just released visuals for her latest banger “Keep Me Up” produced by Hospital Record’s own Metrik, and I can’t get enough of this chick. My first intro to these two working together is on Metrik’s remix of Mrs Marar’s “Unstoppable” off her album “The Real” and when Mistajam from BBC Radio 1xtra made the announcement that he was going to premiere their latest collaboration, I knew it’d get real. This is a must listen and check the shots of Ayah and her team of MCs as they take over New Zealand and perform at the Rhythm & Vines music festival!
