As Avicii is about to begin his journey across the North American landscape to crush arenas one at at time from Miami to Vancouver, accompanied by some of the best in the business, FreshNewtracks would like to give you the opportunity to enjoy that experience for free. Avicii will be touring with his new live setup premiered at Coachella that he described in a recent interview with Techibeats “It feels like a fucking IMAX experience, it really does”. His team has been improving on it over the past month and a half, so this should be an experience you will remember for a very long time.
We are giving away a pair of tickets (you + a friend) to a show of your choice on the LE7ELS Tour. The contest runs from today until May 31st and the winner will be contacted on June 3rd and will be added to the will call list for the show.
All you have to do is create a Facebook status tagging both “@freshnewtracks” and “@Avicii”, while mentioning the ticket giveaway and the show you would like to attend. Try and be creative.

Avicii has finally released a few songs lately with his remix of Madonna’s “Girl Gone Wild” and finally “Silhouettes” getting a release, though it was regionally locked for quite a while. Links below if you still don’t have it. He is also releasing his remix of Lenny Kravitz “Superlove” on May 27th (preview below) so be ready for that one. His Le7els tour has not gotten off to a good start with the first 3 weeks of shows being canceled because the setup was not ready. This means that the south of the US ie Texas, Atlanta and other shows in late may early june are no longer happening, so check your ticket provider for refund details if necessary.
Support for each of the tour dates have been announced with artists like Gareth Emery, Arty, Cazzette, Pleasurekraft, Chuckie and more. Many of these guys headline shows on their own and to have them come as support for Avicii will make for each show to be that much more outstanding and have people rocking from the first note to the very last. Also included is Michael Brun’s May mixtape with an exclusive first play of a remix of his that sounds outstanding, as well as exclusive bootlegs and edits with a fantastic track selection from the just turned 20 year old Haitian. Progressive House | Franz Novotny – Big Bang (Incl. Remixes)

Franz Novotny is yet another Swede who is ready to make waves in the house scene this year and beyond. Big Bang out now on Vicious Records, a label known for getting young talent before they blow up such as some of Avicii’s early work, has already been heavily supported by Morgan Page and Kaskade, as we saw with the very successful “Be Still Big Bang” mashup last year that was taken down due to copyright issues. The original mix builds with a big room sound with echoing synth chords and quick snares and then drops into a sharp rhythmic break, perfect for the festival atmosphere. The Digital Lab is my favorite of the package varying the build a bit with the rhythm of the drums and synth chords but keeps much of the same feel, but the break is much different with a thumping bass and driving low end synths and layered pulsing big room synths in the second break. The young Frenchman Maxime Zarcone provides probably the most interesting of the remixes with much of the original big room build and then a much different break with a variety of different types of synths, piano and percussive elements combine to create an organized chaos that is very enjoyable. Also Mr. Novotny promised to go streaking through Stockholm if he failed to release 15 tracks this year, so we look forward to 14 more sir.

Avicii just uploaded this video to his facebook. This is not an official music video, but it features clips from his shows from NYE in NYC and Niagara Falls. I have been dying for this song to release for over a year now. If I am going to be honest, which I am going to be. Although I do love how these vocals sound, I think the vocals on the earlier version of this track sound much better, that is just my opinion. Either way it is about time Avicii did something, in a way he is like Skrillex by how he hoards his music with over 60 unreleased tracks between the two of them. There is no word yet on the release ‘Silhouettes.’ I have high hopes that it will release at least by June so we have a a killer jam from Avicii to kick off the Summer right.

At this point I’m done waiting for Avicii to release new tracks or previews. I will just check out Archie every few days and chances are he has released something like this or like the other past two tracks he has given out. Archie said at 2,500 likes he would preview another track, so far he is good on his word. He also stated at 3,000 likes he would give it away, talk about a sweet deal. This track speaks for itself, so make sure you visit Archie’s facebook page if you havent already.

Aaaaand boom. The remixes for Girl Gone Wild have just dropped a bit out of no where and this package is absolutely massive. Not only do you have Avicii on here, you have Size label member Kim Fai offering his take on this track with emotive strings and pulsing electro drop, Dada life bringing their signature heavy electro sound as well as remixes from David Audé, Justin Cognito and others. The Avicii remix is the best one of the bunch and he made this track in 3 days so you have to admire the skill that went into this REMIX. Yes this is a remix of a Madonna track, he did not make it for her, so I do not understand the arguments that he sold out. Benny Benassi made the original track. If he sold out then Hardwell and Laidback Luke both sold out for doing a remix of Taio Cruz – Hangover. Then Dada Life sold out for doing a remix of this song. Then Calvin Harris has definitely sold out for producing and writing “We Found Love” and his upcoming track with Ne-Yo “Let’s Go”. Then Dirty South sold out for doing a remix of “Coming Home”, then Mark Knight sold out for doing his remix of “You Found The Love”. I could go on, but what I am saying is if you want to hate on the man for rising to success so quickly, that is your peragotive, but to claim he sold out for doing this remix is simply wrong.

Only a few weeks ago Archie gave everyone his great track, Leto, and now after hitting 25k views we have another. The beat is nothing short of what is to be expected from the amazing upcoming house producer. Personally, I think that because of how powerful Anna Yvette’s vocals are on this track, that it is one of the best tracks Archie has created. I would go as far to say that Archie is the new Avicii, only I would hope Archie would not inherit Avicii’s release one track a year habit. This is an incredible house track, a must have.
