It will feature Calvin Harris, The Chainsmokers, J Lo, Cash Cash and more, so get ready to see a bit of your favorite pop stars. The pre-show will have The Disco Fries spinning for 3 hours, who you may not think fit the “pop” bill, but they did produce 2 of the tunes on Tiesto’s latest album, including “Wasted”. Review | RiFF RAFF – NEON iCON
Posted by BIGLIFE on June 19, 2014
I like RiFF RAFF. It’s no secret. And not in that ironic “hipster” way. I find him infinitely fascinating, and can’t help but cheer for him. Sure, he’s polarizing. Many love him and many hate him. What you have to respect about RiFF RAFF is that he’s not afraid to be his own man. He’s original, hilarious, full of contradictions, and isn’t afraid to live outside the box.
He’s come a long way since his first appearance on “G’s To Gents”. Many dismissed him as a novelty artist, destined to make laughable cameos on World Star. Strangely, Diplo discovered his videos, signed him, and here we are. Come June 24th, RiFF’s appropriately titled “NEON iCON” album drops via Mad Decent, and is arguably the most heavily anticipated record to release in 2014.
RIFF RAFF’s brand of hip-hop is a friendly one. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is a large part of the appeal. There’s something for everyone in RIFF’s music, which is a large reason why he’s been so successful up to this point. Somehow, his music is enjoyed by impressionable young white female teenagers, hip-hop purists, and people who write for Vice and hang out in Brooklyn.
Electronic, Progressive House | Porter Robinson – Lionhearted (feat. Urban Cone)
Posted by Mel on June 17, 2014
It is now less than two months until “Worlds”, Porter Robinson’s next album is out and it is likely to be one of the best electronic albums in quite some time. “Lionhearted”, his newest single from that album features the vocals of the Swedish Urban Cone and, like “Sea Of Voices” and “Sad Machine“, is a step in a new direction music wise for Porter. None of the tracks released so far have much in common, aside from how great they are. Grab the song on iTunes and prepare yourself for something special on August 12th, the album’s day of release.
Electronic, Pop | Timeflies Tuesday – Doin’ It Right
Posted by Grubeats on May 27, 2014
Daft Punk aren’t the only ones doin’ it right these days. Timeflies have had a grip on the game for quite a while now and since their album dropped about a month ago, they’re buzz has only been getting stronger. With that success, they’ve stayed true to their original form by delivering yet another installment of Timeflies Tuesday. This time putting their own twist on Daft Punk’s “Doin’ In Right” – harder, better, faster. Enjoy this one and be sure to grab a physical or digital copy of After Hours the album if you haven’t already.

Dubstep, Electro | Nero – Satisfy
Posted by Middy on May 15, 2014
It has been too long since we have heard from you Nero. Oh how I have missed the controlled aggression that simply sounds like nobody else’s handiwork. Their ability to combine female vocals, orchestral arrangements and a thunderous dark bass line makes them among dubstep’s elite. “Satisfy” is the first we have heard from them in a long time and bodes well for their upcoming album set for release later this year.

“Sad Machine”, Porter Robinson’s follow up to “Sea Of Voices” is even grander than his previous release and maybe even the Skrillex remix of “Levels”. The song is absolute gold and will provide you with yet another reason as to why you should be excited for his upcoming album. Pre-order his album “Worlds”, set for release August 12th here.
