Electronic | Porter Robinson – Sea Of Voices
Posted by Middy on March 2, 2014
We have been hearing about the album “Worlds” for quite some time now, and finally we have a peak at what it will sound like. Porter has repeated in interviews that it was not going to be like his other songs, but something more musical, a listening album. He released no music last year and still got even bigger in profile, a testament to the quality of each of his tunes. If his past work and “Sea Of Voices” is any indication, the album is going to be one of the best this year, without a doubt.

Albums, Trance | Markus Schulz – Scream 2 (Album Review)
Posted by Middy on February 27, 2014
Somehow, in between the marathon sets, constant travel and acting as a label head, Markus Schulz has found the time to release the follow up artist album, his fifth, to his 2012 effort, “Scream“. The DJ and the producer go hand and hand for Markus Schulz as what he makes has to be ready for a set that could last up to 12 hours, something he does more often than most. This album, like “Scream” delves into the more melodic side of his sound, but injects bigger and trancier melodies than the first edition. Stream the songs from album in a special episode of Global DJ Broadcast below, grab the CD, and watch the 25 minute behind the scenes documentary that goes into how the album was made, the stress of deadline day and details on the various collabs.

Trance | Above & Beyond – Hello

New Above & Beyond. The sound of that phrase is music to our ears. Anjunabeats is celebrating its 300th release and what better way to do it than with a tune from the super trio themselves. They are still riding the momentum of their stunning acoustic album, and are slated to release another full length artist album this year, but that has not stopped them from unveiling new material in the mean time. The tune has the sounds of a recent Above & Beyond single with the roller-coaster like ebbs and flows of “Formula Rossa”, with the subtle aggressive bass line that has become a calling card for the label.
