Events | Check Out the Stunning Line Up for III Points Festival in MIA

Posted by on June 2, 2016

III Points

III Points Music, Art, & Technology Festival is a newer festival to the market but that doesn’t mean the line up is any less impressive then the other bigger festivals that are coming up! In it’s 4th year running the festival will return to Miami, more specifically the Wynwood area where it started. The versatility in the headliners is what was so appealing to me, with highlights such as Thievery Corporation, M83, Dixon, Flying Lotus, Method Man & Redman, Maya Jane Coles DJ Koze, LCD Soundsystem along with Miami’s best local music acts. III Points stays true to its roots and authenticity as a hyper-local festival, with every stage featuring a local act performing. Check out a quote from the co-founder of the festival below along with the full line up under that! Pick up your tickets here.

“Its beautiful to watch this project come full circle with LCD Soundsystem headlining III Points this year,” says David Sinopoli, co-founder of III Points. “James Murphy was one of the first people to believe in our festival when it was just an idea in 2013. Now in our fourth year, we’re ready to take that next step with some headlining talent, and it just so happened to be the year he was putting the band back together. 2016 is starting to feel cosmically aligned.”

Hardwell’s career can briefly be described as a whirlwind of success, but his new documentary I Am Hardwell – Living the Dream gives us a detailed look into the life of one of the biggest DJs in the world. Following Hardwell through his solo tour, as he visits 34 cities around the world, the documentary masterfully captures the true energy of a Hardwell show. The film’s trailer was premiered at Amsterdam Dance Event, followed by screenings in his home country of the Netherlands. Directed by Robert Piree, the same director of the 2013 documentary I Am Hardwell, the film takes a look at the Dutch producer’s start in DJing through his continued international success and ever-evolving artistic and musical visions.

Artyom Stolyarov, everyone’s favorite Ruski on the block, is by and large well on a path to becoming a godfather of electronic music. As I let my iTunes hit autodrive (read: shuffle) the chilling vocals from “Bliss” transported me back in time to a place that had slowly faded into a distant memory. Arty has journeyed to every corner of this world, quickly transforming himself into an international icon and becoming an inspiration for dreamers globally. As 2014 comes to an end he’s shown no signs of slowing down, with every year since 2009 pushing him further into the spotlight. If you’re in the LA area this week, scope out Arty at Exchange L.A. tomorrow night! (Wednesday November 26, 2014). Click on the jump for more!

Chill, Techno | Guy J – Once In October (Full Mix)

Posted by on October 31, 2014

Guy J
It’s time to get a little weird. I’m going to introduce you to a man who really changed the game for me in 2013 as I subscribed to a little bit of Group Therapy with Above & Beyond at ABGT50. Guy Judah (Guy J) brings us a rendition of the finest in techno and tribal with his latest mix. Now if you’re hesitant to expand your musical horizons into a zone unknown, I suggest downloading the mix either way. When you wake up tomorrow, add this to your electrolyte filled diet, as Guy J is merely extending his hand to facilitate your path to recovery.

Cover | A$AP Rocky – F*ckin’ Problem (Xavier Dunn Cover)

Xavier
We’re betting you’ve never heard of Xavier Dunn, because before this, neither had we. I’d call this a cover, but it’s more of a reimagining than a standard cover. Australian based artist Xavier Dunn takes A$AP’s huge 2013 hit and turns it into an elegant rendition that even A$AP would respect.
