Progressive House | Hardwell ft. Amba Shepherd – Apollo (Moiez Remix)

Posted by on December 16, 2012

Moiez follows up his “Clarity” remix with a take on Hardwell’s latest single with Amba Shepherd “Apollo”. The Vancouver native works with the build of the original adding a small bit of his own touch to it and then switches the drop completely, flipping the glitchy, Porter Robinsonesque electro of the original for a driving big room drop of airy synths, a punchy bass line and a playful arp. One thing I really like about this remix is that the original didn’t have enough of the vocals from Amba Shepherd and this remix uses her part twice.

Progressive House | Zedd Feat. Foxes – Clarity (Moiez Remix)

Posted by on December 2, 2012

Ever since Zedd released the acapella to “Clarity”, the remixes have been coming in in droves. Now we present the remix from none other then the young Canadian producer Moiez. Moiez gives the Zedd & Porter Robinson co-produced track a total makeover, keeping the Foxes signature vocals, while adding a fast paced electro drop, subtle pitched synths and the choral element we saw in the original. Overall, a stellar remix in what should be just the beginning of many remixes for “Clarity” and yet another quality effort from Moiez.

Progressive House | Moiez – Miami

Posted by on October 21, 2012

FNT Favorite Moiez returns after a short hiatus to give us his next single “Miami” that provides the smooth uplifting builds that we have become accustomed to hearing from the young Canadian, but the track takes a unique twist at the break. In a time when the drops have to be as big and anthemic as possible, Moiez takes a deeper, clubbier route with this one, reminiscent of house songs from the late 2000s, with quick synth stabs and a purposeful bass line.

Progressive House | Moiez – You Only Live Once

Posted by on August 5, 2012

While the title of the song may not have been the best choice, the song itself is progressive house gold. Using 2 different vocal samples to accentuate an uplifting, refined melody and a steady, purposeful bass line, Moiez gives away yet another quality track, continuing his streak of excellent releases. He has yet to stumble and compose a dud, showing a rare consistency for young producers, giving all indications of a great future for this young Canadian producer.
