Videos | Galantis – You (Official Video)
Posted by BIGLIFE on April 13, 2014
It’s no secret that we love Galantis. I think we love them so much we’re turning into Seafoxes. How this video doesn’t have more views is beyond me. “You” has been getting seriously support. Kaskade dropped it at Ultra this year, and they ended their set at Coachella with “You”. Lucky us, we finally have the official video directed by Dano Cerny. I think it’s fair to say Galantis is the next big thing.

Freestyle, Videos | Timeflies Tuesday – Paranoid

I’m not a huge fan of Ty Dolla $ign. He’s a rap game gopher if I’ve ever seen one – he’ll breach the surface a couple times, then he’ll die off and another one will come along. On the plus side, he is the host of some killer beats, from which many great remixes have sprouted. Timeflies decided to bring it back to their roots on this weeks Tuesday installment with an auto-tuned freestyle rendition of the gopher’s chart topping single, “Paranoid”. Nothing bad can come out of Cal, Rez, and a golden shoe. Enjoy yet another teaser while we await their debut major label LP, due very soon.

Pop, Videos | King Deco — One (Prod. Felix Snow)
Posted by jeffwbaird on March 6, 2014
King Deco is going to be a star. This Duke grad and pop newcomer has a penchant for invoking Cleopatra, and one of the most captivating, mellifluous voices you’ll hear from anyone without a major label deal (or maybe even with). Given the constant routine and monotony that pervades pop music, it’s enlivening to hear and see an artist whose sound and aesthetic seems much more reflective of their authentic selves and sensibilities, rather than what is most marketable. “One”, the first single from her upcoming EP, was produced by Felix Snow, and features Deco’s rich, resonant vocals and writing over a seductive beat laden with ambient synths. Tigris is due out this month, and will also include the writing and production of Kinetics & One Love, Ryland Blackinton (of Cobra Starship), and ASTR’s Adam Pallin.
Videos | Is This The Best DJ Performance Of All Time?
Posted by BIGLIFE on February 26, 2014
Move over Hardwell, there’s a new sheriff in town. Earlier this month, a unknown DJ unleashed a hard style performance of epic proportions at the Dream Hack Talent Show in Borlange, Sweden. Although the DJ’s name a mystery, it’s safe to say that he’s the next big thing in “EDM”. Even the EDM Snob weighed in on the performance lauding his set as “truly groundbreaking. I can’t wait to make him a star.”
Perhaps most impressive about this DJ is that he’s able mix tracks not only with one hand on his laptop, but without a mixer! Just absolute unadulterated fire flames. When asked about his mixing ability, one fan in the crowd remarked, “his mixing transcends all space, time, and logic. If you ask me, I don’t think this is even his final form. There’s no doubt in my mind that his set will protect his virginity.”
While some in the blogosphere have been quick to criticize his performance, many supporters around the blogosphere are happy that this unknown DJ is finally pushing boundaries. As the great Andrew Smith once said, “people fear what they don’t understand and hate what they can’t conquer.” It’s safe to assume he won’t be conquered any time soon.
