Black Butter Records is home to many insanely talented artists like Gorgon City, Kidnap Kid, Rudimental, Clean Bandit, My Nu Leng, and many more. The UK imprint threw a party last month with MATTE, a creative production company, to get the festival season started off right, and I don’t know if it’s the black and white or the tribal-esque track to the video but its clear that these British music titans know how to throw a party. The lineup was overflowing with killer talent. From Kidnap Kid to Jessie Andrews to a special guest appearance by THE GASLIGHT KILLER, attendees were not shorted of high-caliber DJs and the recap video is just a testament to exactly that. Check it out and be sure to be on the look out for the next Black Butter Records party that pop-ups.

Deorro’s good time anthem, “Five More Hours”, pays homage to one of his very first releases, “Five Hours.” With vocals by Chris Brown, the blazing dance floor tune accumulated over 48 million streams on Spotify, and over 32 million streams on YouTube in a few months. Now, the latest rendition of Deorro’s biggest hit to date is getting a proper visual treatment. “Five More Hours'” music video depicts Chris Brown’s car breaking down in the desert leaving him stranded. Shortly after, a bus full of party goers on their way to Coachella comes to the rescue and they all make it to the party just in time, where they meet up with Deorro, and tear up the Sahara tent. Stream the music video above and grab the song on iTunes.

When Mysteryland touched down in Bethel Woods last year, it brought one of Europe’s most iconic festival brands to America. Mysteryland has always offered a nearly unmatched blend of music and art, making it one of the most popular festival in the world, and Mysteryland USA was no different. This year, for the second iteration of Mysteryland in the states, the festival will be featuring the musical talents of Kygo, Dillon Francis, Porter Robinson, Damian Lazarus, and many more, as well as welcoming the return of the Smorgusburg food festival, a refreshing aspect that only serves to further separate Mysteryland from the typical festival. While it’s a monumental task to capture the ethos and essence of the twenty-year-old festival brand in a short four minute video, Mysteryland’s brand new trailer highlights their signature stage design, breathtaking shots of Bethel Woods, and gives insight into the festival’s long past.

Abstract Hip-Hop, Hip-Hop, Videos | Christian Deshun Capitalizes On Kendrick Lamar Taking Instrumental

When Los Angeles Based Christian Deshun first heard To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar a weird sense drifted over him. Upon reaching “Momma”, Christian realized that K. Dot had used an instrumental that he released last year on his EP SMPLCTY. It was on a record titled “Thank You”, which was produced by buzzing producer KNXWLEDGE. But instead of it bringing him down and feeling haste, Christian had felt honored that him and K. Dot have the same ear sort of feeling as a pioneer. “If K. Dot liked this now, and I recorded this last year this sort of makes me ahead of my time as an innovator”, stated Christian.
Well two weeks after this debacle, Christian released a video titled “Undisclosed”. This was recorded at a time when Christian and his Friends where financially broke and hanging out in a decrepit building off the beaten path. But even though they were financially unstable, they were intellectually rich. The meaning “Undisclosed” came from the fact that you couldn’t find this house even if you tried, it would not register in a GPS device.
For now the future looks bright for the budding star out of LA. Hoping to put Louisiana on the map via Los Angeles he definitely carries the character, drive, and personality to attain these goals.
