Dubstep, Electro, Electro-House, Preview | Feed Me – Death By Robot EP
Posted by Mach on January 10, 2013
Feed Me (AKA Spor) has been very busy the past months, it’s not easy being the CEO of Deadmau5′ record label, Mau5trap, while owning your own Drum & Bass label, Lifted. You can tell he enjoys his work though, which is why this next EP of his will be just as good as the last. Every new EP of his seems to reflect different styles. I don’t think he’s lost but I do believe he loves trying any and everything. His new EP title track “Death By Robot” sounds like it is going to be the best Electro-House track he has ever done. I know that is a tall order, but just from this small clip I am dying to have a full copy. “Gravel” is a dirty sounding Electro and Tech-House blend. Could be a little repetitive for some, but I feel like in a live setting it is just what the doctor ordered. “Dial Up Days” was a little hard for me to decipher, it’s Dubstep but Breakbeat but also Nu-Dance. Besides confusing this turned out to be a really cool, not your usual, laid back tune to dance to. Only six days away, Feed Me’s new EP releases on January 6th.
Preview, Trance | Ferry Corsten – Kudawudashuda [Preview]
Posted by Spice on January 10, 2013
Ferry Corsten returns to his roots in his latest track — a play on “Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda” — which premiered to much fanfare on the New Year’s edition of Corsten’s Countdown. This is solid gold non-vocal trance that features a mesmerizing hook, heavy kicks, and incredible builds; aside from the retrofits of older tracks he’s been working up with Markus Schulz, “Kudawudashuda” is easily one of the best things I’ve heard from Ferry lately. It’s the kind of track that gets dropped at 4:30 a.m. when the club is still packed but things are starting to get weird and you’re moving without thinking and are utterly in the zone.
On a more general note, Ferry is one of the heaviest hitters in the game and a true master of the genre, and I am hopeful that this is an indication of the kind of trance we can expect to see in 2013 (I’m likewise encouraged by Armin’s “Who’s Afraid of 138?” campaign). No word yet on an official release date yet but look it for it to drop soon on Flashover Recordings.
Preview, Progressive House | Rune RK ft. Andreas Moe – Teacup (Michael Brun Remix) [Preview]
Posted by Middy on January 10, 2013
Michael Brun finished out 2012 riding a massive tidal wave of success from his “Burn Forever” remix and “Rift” charting well and getting support far and wide across the Dj community. He enters 2013 looking to stay on top of that tidal crest of success and this latest remix of “Teacup” using vocals from Andreas Moe, who you may recognize from John de Sohn’s “Long Time”, looks to set him up nicely. Look for this to be released January 22nd on Spinnin Records.
Dubstep, Glitch, Preview | Manic Focus – Forever Blasting

This has to be my favorite track to date from Manic Focus. The name “Forever Blasting” is a perfect fit for the space-crunk blasting bass, riddling our eardrums like an intergalactic drive-by. Vocal samples from deceased rap legend, Fat Pat, really put this track into a stellar perspective, paired with beats that send you to another world.

It seems we have one more hot preview to premiere before the release of “The Shady Bunch” compilation EP tomorrow from Circus Records, featuring tracks from Doctor P, Flux Pavilion, Roksonix, Funtcase, Cookie Monsta’, and many more. Roksonix has been on an absolute roll this past year. They finally had released their fire remix of Nero’s “Me & You” and their new “Dog FIght” EP has been a great success. Roksonix has the fight in them to reach the top and “Ready To Rumble” is just more proof that they are here to stay and continually make an impact on the industry. This may be the end of Roksonix 2012 year, but we can only imagine what they have in store for us in 2013. “The Shady Bunch” EP drops tomorrow exclusively through Circus Records. Don’t miss out on this awesome compilation of tracks and musicians.

Electro-House, Featured, Preview | Roksonix – Music In Me (Doctor P Remix) [PREMIERE]

Looks like we have quite the treat for everyone today. Circus Records has been kind enough to let us premiere Doctor Ps upcoming remix from the highly anticipated compilation EP, “The Shady Bunch,” featuring legends Funtcase, Cookie Monsta’, Roksonix, Flux Pavilion, and many more. Since the release of Roksonix’s impacting remix of Nero’s “Me & You,” and its feature on X-Factor’s Season 2 promotions, it felt like only a matter of time before some great producer was chosen to remix something of their’s. Could not have asked for a better person for the job.
Doctor P has always surprised me with his new work, especially with the stringed orchestral intro contained in this remix. Shocked and awed, I continued listening through this intriguing track only to find myself dancing to a most memorable electro-house twist of Roksonix and Doctor P’s styles. If I wasn’t extremely excited for the EP’s release already, I most definitely am now. Luckily we will not have to wait much longer for its December 16th release this coming Sunday. Until then, enjoy this first listen of this awesome tune.

Dubstep, Preview | KillSonik – Slaughterhouse
Posted by Mach on December 13, 2012
KillSonik’s upcoming EP, “Where The River Runs Black” was originally set for release in November, but the group decided to add a few things. Now releasing in January, this is the first official play of a track from the duo’s new EP. As expected, “Slaughterhouse” is nothing but dark filth. Lasers and heavy bass firing into your skull, I was completely surprised by the electric guitar that strips down your spin half way through. I have been impatiently waiting for the EP since I first heard of it in the beginning of October and this preview makes the wait so much more painful.
