Lazy Sunday calls for Bruno Mars’ “The Lazy Song” remixed by French duo Krono. Brothers Mickael et David Couderc bring the bass, and twist the Bruno Mars pop record into a French house dance floor banger. Can’t say this record is my favorite from Bruno, but this remix I’ll listen to any day! Krono managed to make Mr. Mars sound like the 6th member of the Jackson Five, and it’s all soul! A 16 year old girl from New Zealand has hit the music world by storm with her hit single “Royals,” and it doesn’t seem like the hype is going to die any time soon. Yesterday, Lorde released another track, “Team,” off her upcoming album Heroine. Truthfully I’m not sure I get the hype behind this artist, nor the hit-factor behind her tracks, though I can’t deny that I am impressed by Lorde’s talent, and how fast her music has taken off. “Team” is minimalist in production, layered with thoughtful lyrics, which are sung in a Lana del Rey fashion. Listen for yourself and let me know what you think: we like or nah??

Ever since South African artist St Lucia was brought to my attention with the Xaphoon Jones remix of “We Got It Wrong,” I’ve kept a watchful eye on them. Today they blesses us with the release of “Too Close,” off of their debut full-length album “When The Night.” If you’re a fan of synth-pop, and feel like listening to a symphonic piece today, St Lucia’s got you! This is top-notch production. I look forward to hearing the album, and the bundle of remixes that will come about of this project! Must listen! After the jump check out their tour dates this fall.

Producing, writing, and recording himself, there’s no question marks looming over JB’s talent – the kid really can do it all.
