A few weeks back I introduced The Golden Pony’s remix of Peaches “F*ck the Pain Away,” and today the afro boy duo is back with an original “Bonfire,” an indie nu-disco pop record with soul, which I think they get from their fros, featuring vocals from Suntalk an indie nu-disco pop record with soul, which I think they get from their fros. The story behind this track is pretty interesting, and I’ll let them tell it:
“Bonfire” was written after reading this proverb called “The Zen of Work”. It goes “When you do something, you should burn yourself up completely, like a good bonfire, leaving no trace of your self”. For some reason it reminded us of our favorite musicians who died young like Jimi, Janis, Otis, Jim Morrison, and Kurt.

Premiered at Billboard yesterday, Clinton Sparks releases the second single “Stay With You Tonight” featuring RiFF RAFF off his forthcoming “Disco Ball & Chain” project. If this is any indicator of Clinton’s new direction, then I’m willing to bet that Clinton Sparks is about have a serious 2014 as a breakout artist. As always, get familiar.

The Chicago producer that is Bartek Urbanek aka BEAR TOOTH, all caps everything, remixed Betty Who’s “Somebody Loves You” into a catchy synth-pop nu-disco record that’s going to bring you back to the 80’s all in the comfort of your home. Not going to lie, I discovered the original “Free” by Emeli Sande about a week ago as I took the time to check out Rudimental’s album, and this is one of the hottest records of the year. To say this much, I’m glad Cash Cash and Gazzo hopped on this for a remix. Released by Big Beat just a few minutes ago, this remix does the original justice. This is definitely a must listen, and if you’ve never heard the original, do yourself a favor and go look it up!

Sometimes Timeflies Tuesday is a new joint you can ride to. Sometimes it’s a tranquil track you can make babies (or non babies) to. Sometimes it’s both. This week Cal and Rez take on Passenger’s 2012 hit, “Let Her Go”. If you didn’t see Timeflies twisting the chart topping track, “Timber”, you aren’t paying close enough attention. Pitbull, Ke$ha, and producers Dr. Luke, Sermstyle, & Cirkut may have rode this radio hit to the top of the charts, but Rez and Cal just demolished this remix. Cal. Goes. IN.

Cherub drops off some brand new music in the form of their Antipasto EP. Although the EP reuses their hit single Doses & Mimosas, it offers a brand new and very interesting remix of it by the knocks, and two brand new songs.
