Happy Friday FNT nation. I don’t normally fool around with mashups but this one is too good to pass up. For maximum fun tonight, treat your friends to this sweet bootleg that mashes KOAN Sound’s “Sly Fox” with the legendary anthem that is the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme. Skrillex has been known to toy with Will Smith’s verse in his live sets, but he hasn’t thought of this particular combination — “Sly Fox” is the perfect swingy backdrop for this 90’s classic. This is a real Mashup. These two girls did an incredible job considering how difficult it is to be able to overlap two completely different songs together by just using their voices. I am a big fan of covers of “Toxic” because of how beautiful the lyrics actually are and they always turn out so much better than Britney Spears. The lyrics of both tracks provide enough versatility that I believe allowed these two master vocalists to create this soulful cover/mashup. Big thanks to our friend NAMMO for introducing us to these two amazing singers. Make sure to show Happie and Molly some love and check out their other great works.

Track of the week right here! I have to agree that this is just Too Hot To Stop. This track offers vocals from Swizz Beats, Young Gunz, Beastie Boys, Chingy, 50 Cent, and Memphis Bleek, a lot of randoms considered for a little bit of funky vibes. Probably the most fun I have had in months just listening to a song. D.veloped just completely evolved the definition of Funk.

To conclude the previous two releases, DJ Trademark has released his next big project, “Diamond in the Rough.” The title couldn’t be more fitting as Trademark is undoubtedly the next up and comer of the mashup game. The seamlessness of the vocals over the instrumentals is unparalleled and the creativity/vision displayed on this EP is phenomenal. This is one of the best projects we’ve come across in a while, this is a must download.
