Deep House | EDX’s Remix of The Avener’s “We Go Home” Is A Blissful Gem
Posted by Juicebox on December 9, 2015
With every release, EDX seems to strengthen his reputation as a talented producer with production skills that span far and wide. His latest release, an outstanding remix of The Avener’s “We Go Home,” brings the relaxing track up a notch, infusing some energetic synths and a thumping bassline. Cohen’s commanding vocals smoothly navigates over a house melody and uplifting chord progressions for a stand-out summery production. For EDX, 2015 has been another incredibly fruitful year, and he’s expected to remain at the top of his game in the new year with some big news on the horizon. Experience EDX in a live setting at one of his upcoming shows (full dates below), and enjoy this fresh remix in the meantime.

I get hit with a lot of submissions, and I take the time to listen to most of them, and at times, I mean to support, though it takes me a few days, if I end up getting a chance to post, but this Dart Party remix of TOTEM’s “All Falls Down” was worth going back to – it’s exactly what I need tonight. There’s a genre that’s been coming about lately that I believe is the future, it’s a blend of nu-disco with progressive house, and deep house, it’s the fine line between underground, and mainstream, without trying to please either. It’s making music that feels good on the dancefloor, and this remix covers all of those bases. If you’re looking for something smooth, light, and melodic, Dart Party has you covered, this is a must listen, and a must download! PS, give it a <3 on Hypem if you dig!

So what better time for Croydon-based producer Kayper to pay tribute to the queen? Kayper’s latest track “Next Lifetime” samples Badu, while Kayper says “I heard someone playing Erykah Badu’s “Next Lifetime” in their car at the traffic lights while I was driving through Brixton one day and it reminded me of how much I loved that track and her first album which is what inspired me to do my own updated version as a tribute to one of my favorite artists.”
