Sibling duo Star.One have become starlets of the UK underground scene, but that title is starting to lift as their influence begins to expand beyond the underground niche and travels across the channel to Europe and beyond. Having already gotten steady looks from British radio and some major media mags & publications, the duo are spreading their wings are making waves across the music community. The duo have created a rnb infused trap / hip hop, garage and grime sound that is quintessentially British.
We are happy to partner with The Future FM to premiere a new mix from Star.One that takes you under the hood for what type of tunes they are digging now. I didn’t care for the original. However, Disclosure try their hand at Usher’s “Good Kisser” with moderately impressive results. I liked the “Frontin'” remix better, but I’ll take new Disclosure as I get it. Perhaps they’ve set the bar so high musically that I’m being too tough on them. That might be the case, but it’s our job to call it like we see it. Regardless, it still smells like a label induced remix to us.

Tonight I thought I’d post something chill to go along with the stormy weather we’re having here in Chicago. “Don’t Stop” by Lobster Music is some chill trap to add to your collection. Lobster Music is a duo from the UK made up of Wizard and Scizzahz, under Cream Collective. This track will be featured on Lobster Music’s new ‘Cognac & Cohibas’ EP coming out on July 4th. Mellow trap beats guide Lana samples along through this skillful track. This track will be available for free on the new EP as well as the rest of the tracks. Fresh off the plane from New York, New York, the Daytrip boys have arrived in Kingston, Jamaica. The production duo has returned with their second song, “Drop It”. The direction is undoubtedly different than their first smash “Flight 43”. There’s no use in trying to rationalize it, “Drop It” is a turn-up anthem, and a damn good one at that.
77Klash, Lil Silk, and Yung Burrakami are all called in to add their respective energies. Lil Silk’s verse is difficult to match, however, from start to finish Daytrip ensures their listeners a backdrop for any shenanigans they’ll be getting in to for the night.
