Chill, Trap | Nylo – Someone Like You (SKULS RIP)

Posted by on September 24, 2014

SKULS put on with this rip of Nylo’s “Someone Like You” on that trap R&B flavor, and it’s so fluid and so smooth, this genre might replace my Saturday morning brunch music, cause it sounds like sex, and it sounds like the future. Having hit #1 on Hypem with their Childish Gambino “3005” remix a few weeks back, there’s no doubt these guys lived up to the hype with their follow up, I’m completely in trance by this latest, the vocals really resonate, and the bay trap vibes takes it all deeper. Def give this track a listen, and get that free download!

Bud light wants you to turn up your night, but we want you to turn up your Tuesday (which can be the night as well). In to do just that as DJ duo, Immigré, who as the name suggests were born abroad and immigrated to the States in the 1990s. Val Fluery and Jasmine teamed up in late 2012, and have since released a host of remixes and mixes, while playing at clubs across the country. This mix that we are proud to premiere, features 26 songs in almost as many minutes with quick, sleek mixing that doesn’t just move from drop to drop, but blends in the best parts of each song and quickly. It features tunes from Grimes, Phantogram, Kaytranada, RL Grime and many more. Check out the full tracklist after the jump.

Mashups, Trap | DOSVEC – Booty

Booty450

This track was screaming to be slowed down, for obvious reasons (slower booty moving = longer video). The focus at the beginning is Iggy’s vocal but then changes over to a great chop up of both Iggy & J.Lo’s vocal on the second hook. Once you listen to “Booty” at 100bpm it will make you wonder why the original didn’t release at this speed.

Where’s my trap heads at? Cause Club Killers chopped up Round2Crew’s “Booty Had Me Like” for a trap banger. I had the chance to speak to the Club Killers a few weeks back in Atlantic City, and they mentioned that when they remix records they do it for the clubs, as they’re all about that energy, they want to see people moving, and having a great time. I’m all for that, besides it’s thirsty Thursday, so go out have yourself a ball, and find yourself a booty “that have you like woah!” to hop on! This is a must listen and a must download!

Trap | Derek Rhodes x Reid Stefan x Juicy J – Alley Oop

Juicy J

Warning, this is not a joke, this is a real record, “Alley Oop” by Reid Stefan, Derek Rhodes, and Juicy J was sent to me a few days back, and the cover art alone was enough for me to press play, what can I say, sex sells. Blending trap, with the lovely hook “shorty gonna toss that pussy, hit me like an alley oop” over thumping drums for that full ass shaking effect, tell me you don’t want to get ratchet to this . If ya’ll remember a few posts back I informed you of the strip club test, and there’s no doubt in my mind, this one passes it. Happy Monday!

Trap | Parade No 5 – Burnt

A few weeks back, we presented to you Parade No 5’s debut single “Outbreak” and I was highly intrigued by their trap meets rap meets electronic combination, and this week the duo is back with “Burnt,” a track they said was inspired by long nights in the Atlanta nightclub scene, aka strip clubs, and once you press play, you’ll know why. There’s a common saying in the industry, that if you want to break a record, you should spin it at a strip club and see how it pans out. Even tracks like “Turn Down For What” received the strip club test treatment, and the girls loved it, so with that said, I’m pretty sure “Burnt” is the right track to have you dancing up and down the pole, or just shake your ass to, whichever is easier! This is a must listen!
