Didrick crafts a fantastic remix of Cazzette’s latest single “Blind Heart”. Most remixes I’ve heard have been deep and funky, but this one amps it up with hints of the sounds of Zedd, Madeon and Syn Cole. Extremely cool remix.

Melodic Progressive, Trance | Andrew Lang releases ‘Presence of Mind’ on Progressive House Worldwide

It is very rare to find a true rendition of progressive meets trance, but Andrew Lang has fused these two sounds and created the tranquil ‘Presence of Mind.’ This Toronto, Canada based producer has been making waves in the melodic progressive scene and so I was surprised and shocked that Andrew stepped out of his comfort zone and amped the BPM, followed by a heavenly break that tuned a chord progression exemplary of the quality of music this man consistently supplies. I truly expect this tune to turn some heads in the Trance scene as it finds the perfect balance between melodic and progressive trance.

Enferno and Shiftee who make up E.A.S.Y. hits us with a hard official remix of A-Trak featuring Andrew Wyatt’s “Push,” which they remixed live, as you would expect from such accomplished DJs. Check the video here to see them remix live, it’s fucking impressive, especially considering half of the DJs out there don’t even spin anymore, these guys just raise the stake on everyone, and what better way to do it, than with an A-Trak record? This is a must listen!

DO SOMETHING

Trance | Porter Robinson – Seas of Voices (Falcon Remix)

Trance warrior rejoice, because Falcon just brought forward what I deem as the best remix of “Sea of Voices” for 2014. The original was game-changing in itself and yet, Falcon found a way to integrate his artful epic progressions and created a timeless mainstage anthem. It’s already received ASOT support from the legendary Armin Van Buuren and Future Sound of Egypt head honcho’s Aly & Fila, so expect this tune to dominate the airwaves at a trance event near you. Falcon doesn’t take away from the underlying melody but adds his own touch of uplifting synths, carrying you away and communicating in trance a certainty of purpose. I truly have fallen in love this one.

Can I get a Ric Flair “Woooooooooooo” from someone who’s reading this? Hot diggity dog this re-mastered “Geronimo” single featuring Teddy bend her ass down sans Sage The Gemini and Ty Dolla $ign is fire flames. Clinton Sparks has done it again. First “I’m The Man” then “No Type” and now this. Clinton Sparks is butter on a god damn roll right now and I can’t get enough.

Grab Clinton’s “ICONoclast” EP and catch him at NAGA in Boston Thursday night.

Let’s put it out there, that Next Wave Records have been spitting out quality tunes left and right, and this latest “Talk” by Atlas Bound, is not you obvious cross over record, but rather one to kick back and relax to; just let the music play out your headphones. Subtle soulful vocals over an ambient, electronic, bassy production is what you’ll get from “Talk,” so educate yourself and enjoy some fine new music with Atlas Bound.

This Norwegian is no stranger to the trance scene. He has fully captured the potential in Sarah Shields voice, bringing us ‘Not Alone’ – a tune that balances weighted synths with uplifting melody, perfectly. Daniel Van Sand is a welcomed favorite on Armin Van Buuren’s ASOT series and rightfully so – his music is constantly turning heads as the break portrays his versatility in producing both trance and film score vividly. This track adds to the ever-growing catalog of free trance and progressive found at AMPED ARTISTS, and if this is the caliber of music they continue to push out I expect big things coming their way.
