Bass | Birthdayy Partyy Bring Justin Timberlake’s “Sexy Back”

Posted by on February 26, 2018

I think it’s fair to say that we all wanted more “Sexy Back” from Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl Halftime performance. Thankfully, Birthdayy Partyy has come through with their own version of “Sexy Back” that satisfies the desire we had left over from earlier this month. I think these twins have released more singles this year than anybody else – excluding album releases. They just launched in mid-January and already have four releases on their hands. All of them incredible, this one especially. Have a listen for yourself to the bassy breakbeat sound and make sure to grab the free download!

Ambient, Bass, Chill | SNOWMASS Breaks New Sound Barriers via New Single

The Chainsmokers and Sam Feldt are just two of the bigger acts to co-sign SNOWMASS’ style and sound, but with signs of approval from artists at that level of success he is clearly on the right path! SNOWMASS came out with a new single called “Breaking” recently and simply put it is epic, it is a slow cooker, though. Slowly but surely “Breaking” evolves into something epic as hell. At first it starts off a little slow but once the mix of layered synths, bass, and drums come in the track skyrockets into a new soundscape and it is memorizing.

Bass, Videos | 5 & A Dime Uploads DIY Video Showing New Way To Use A LaunchPad

Posted by on February 23, 2018

Now hitting nearly 1 million views on Twitter alone, 5 & A Dime is proving he is a man of many colors, having been in the industry 8 years and done everything from mashup videos to hundreds of shows and more. He’s taken on a challenging chapter as of late, showcasing a homemade DDR pad turned LaunchPad, putting together songs using the timing of his step. The amount of hours it took to put something like this together is hard to imagine, but the work has paid off no doubt.

Rumor has it 5 & A Dime has more of these style videos as well as more unreleased works on deck. Hands down, this is one of the more creative videos you see within the dance scene.

Bass, Hip-Hop | Apashe Releases Historic Requiem EP Inspired By Mozart

Posted by on February 23, 2018

Apashe has long been known for his hybrid sound, but now he’s upped the ante. His historic Requiem EP just dropped today on Kannibalen Records with three tracks that are literally unlike anything I’ve heard before. What would you think if someone said they made an EP of classical mixed with hip-hop and trap? You’d probably laugh, but once you listen to this project there’s no laughter, just awe-struck silence. It’s the beginning of the year and a lot of lists have been coming out about what producers are going to have the biggest years… Apashe should be at the top of the list.

Bass | Nurko Kicks Off His 2018 Roster With “Million Birds”

Posted by on February 23, 2018

“Million Birds” is the title of electronic artist Nurko’s first track of 2018, and it is quite a way to bring in the new year. The song begins with humble piano chords, and the sounds of birds chirping and flying. The gentle plucking of the strings carries the whole song delicately. Then, that delicacy is balanced with victorious and sturdy synthesizers. Elle Vee breathes even more life into this song with her dreamy vocals. I think she helps the song naturally ascend into a complete rhythmic gesture of remembrance. What is it the song want us to remember? Well, I suppose that is up to the listener. However, for me, the theme of flight and defying gravity itself foresees a future of freedom, since, to remember who we are, we must indeed become who we are meant to be. ‘Million Birds’ is a melodic reminder to the listener of that sacred duty to oneself, and indeed to the universe.

Bass | Demicat Drops Daily Earfood Original “Levitation”

Posted by on February 22, 2018

Demicat has spent alot of time in the ring. The last few years has seen a steady rise in the producers fanbase and stream count. Today, his notability between South Korea and the USA is starting to mesh into on larger global audience. Demicat has been nothing short of aware and present to this notion, putting out content and music often and of-caliber.

Demicat’s Seoul EP feature for Fox Stevenson grabbed substantial streams, while the EP as whole climbed to 100K, yet Demicat’s latest showcases his style in original form, releasing a single he worked on solo. Demicat knows where he fits within dance music and explores this realm beautifully, hear “Levitation” it in full above.

Bass | INF1N1TE Drops First Release Of The Year “IN My Head”

Posted by on February 12, 2018

“In My Head” show INF1N1TE has done it again. Yet this doesn’t do justice to the subtlety and intelligence of the track as a whole, which uses Tom-Waite-like deep bass and a gripping rhythm to really ensconce itself in your head. It is a synapse forming, neuron firing track, which you won’t be able to help listening to over and over again. It hovers in the space between strict electro music and drum and bass, and is a must listen to anyone interested in either genre.

INF1N1TE has had years of experience and is set to go even bigger in 2018, with shows, more music, and collaborations all planned soon.
