Despite their million+ fans, I was previously unaware of Barcelona. The group has chocked their SoundCloud full of remixes, and one in particular that really made a lasting impression was MSG’s “Background” reworking. The song takes ambient elements from Barcelona’s catchy vocals and mixes them with the deep house sounds that are making their rounds across the music world. The result is pure bliss for an entire four minutes and thirty eight seconds.
Both MSG and Barcelona hail from the Northwest state of Washington, a hub for all things culture and music. The local influences allowed for this track to click on multiple levels, making it enjoyable for indie and electronic fans alike.

Cream Collective has been killin’ it lately. Orca is the newest addition to the Cream Collective, hailing from Brighton, Britain. “My Zenith” is chill, relaxing and tranquil, without being boring. Birds chirp along with occasional subtle vocal sampling over an ethereal atmosphere in this mellow masterpiece. Here’s another lovely track to kick off January right. Atu’s original track “Doubts” has a superb atmosphere and some really smooth piano in it. Ambient and classy, I have no doubt (haha get it) that this track is excellent. If we had a tab for “baby making music” I would definitely pop this track in there. The little extra section at the end is especially pretty. Big ups to Atu for this one!

One the best and most anonymous Garage producers is back, releasing yet another breathtaking installment. The “Rival Dealer” EP is already a chart topper on countless vinyl websites across the internet. Today I bring you the first previews heard from the new EP and it comes to no surprise to this avid listener that he has continued the legacy that is Burial. Each track is of its own world and will without a doubt continue to top the charts pre-release and post. If you have never indulged your ears on Burial’s work, it is a revelation that all should experience. The “Rival Dealer” EP will be available on vinyl with one track on CD as well as be available for digital download on Dec. 16th.
Edit: Previews have been taken down, but this EP is definitely something worth the buy on the day of release.
